This week Stampin’ UP! has introduced a range on new Online Exclusive products. I’m not usre how my lovely layout is all out of alignment now – something else to teach myself. CLick on the images below to go straight to my Online Store.
Today I have a decorated journal to share with you.
I found a spare journal lurking in one of my crafting drawers and decided that I should decorate it for today’s project.
This checked Pebbled Path Designer Series Paper was adhered to both the front and back of the journal.
Then I cut four pieces of DSP and used one of the Notes of Nature Dies to cut holes in each of the DSP panels. Then I threaded lengths of the Gold Faux Leather Trim through each of them. To hold the trim in place, I knotted their ends.
I placed the first piece onto the front of the journal using dimensionals. The other layers were adhered in place with Multipurpose Glue and used dimensionals to hold up the lower edges.
I cut and die cut a smaller piece of Basic White cardstock before stamping the piece with the checked image and the sentiment.
This panel was postioned over the top with dimensionals.
Using the Mini Alphabet Dies, I cut the letters for ‘My Journal” in Gold Foil. The back of the letters had Adhesive Sheets, so attaching them to the journal was easy.
I used the Lovely & Sweet Dies to cut the vanilla beans and flower, as well as the cacao bundle, from the DSP, before attaching them to the front of the journal. I also fussy cut several leaf bundles.
To finish the cover of the journal, I added a bow, tied from the Gold Faux Leather Trim, and some of the Cork Rounds.
Tomorrow I have a 3D project to share with you.
