For my first post today I have the project I have made for this week’s #338 Global Design Project challenge. It is a SKETCH CHALLENGE.
Make sure that you click on the graphic below, to go to the Global Design Project page and see what this amazing group of paper crafters have made.
I am still featuring the Gumball Greetings Bundle, so I needed to adapt the layout of this sketch for my card. Thankfully, one of the GDP team turned her card from landscape to portrait. This made me feel more at ease with my project.
I used the new 2022 – 2024 In Colours to create this slimline card. The card base measures 8-1/2″x 7″ before being scored at 3-1/2″.
The Orchid Oasis circle was cut using the largest circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies. This wcircle was then embossed using the dots folder from the Checks & Dots Embossing Folders.
For the gumball machine, I used Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, to stamp the machine base and lid on to Parakeet Party cardstock. The gumball dome was stamped in black on Basic White cardstock. Each of these three parts were then die cut.
I used all 5 new In Colours to stamp the gumballs inside the dome. These new colours are wonderfully vibrant.
Then I glued the three parts together.
The gumball machine was attached to the embossed circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The sentiment was masked and stamped three times to allow me to cut it into three seperate pieces. I placed dimensionals under each word and then secured them to the card front.
A length of Orchid Oasis Metallic Woven Ribbon was tied in a double bow and fixed in place with a Mini Glue Dot.
Finally, I added three Starry Sky Matte Decorative Dots to the front of the card.
It has been fun using the Gumball Greetings Bundle in different ways, with different colours, over the last few days.
Knowing that I can use existing and new products together has always made me confident with the way in which Stampin’ Up!® coordinate so well.
I hope that you like this card – and, the one to follow later today.
Tomorrow is 3D Thursday. I’ll be back then with a new project to share.
Until then, happy stamping.
