The greeting for today’s card is about to become a favourite – YOU’VE GOT THIS. It will be perfect for so many occasions and is so inspirational.
I think the Splendid Autumn Suite Collection is also perfect for loads of occasions.
For this card, I used another one of the card templates from page 22 of the 2024 Annual Catalogue.
Look for the template that is the third from the right on the top row – a card front using lots of strips of card/Designer Series Paper.
Each of the DSP papers have a landscape image on one side and a coloured side. I cut 1/2″ strips of three of these colours – Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow and Wild Wheat. The length of each strip is 3 1/2″.
TIP: When positioning the strips of DSP, use a sheet of Grid Paper to align the first piece accurately, in the centre of the Basic White panel.
TECHNIQUE: When positioning the strips, use Tombow Multipurpose Glue so that you can slide each strip to create the staggered effect.
I wrapped a long length of Wild Wheat trim, from the 2023-2025 In Colour Jute Twine bundle, and tied the ends in a bow.
TIP: Using a MIni Glue Dot is a great way to ensure the bow sits in the position you want.
The colours I chose for this card were based on this sunflower styled DSP. I used the second largest circle, from the Stylish Shapes Dies, to cut the flower and create the focal point.
Using the largest circle, I cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler. The two circles were layered using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
TIP: If the shape is large you can always trim off part of one side. For this card, I cut a straight edge on the left hand side. The partial circle then had dimensionals added so that it could be lifted up over the jute trim.
The greeting, that was stamped using Tuxedo Black Memento ink directly onto a piece of DSP, was then added to the card front.
The card insert and back of the envelope had DSP added to finish the card.
The final step was to add some 2023-2025 In Colour Dots.
Tomorrow I have a home decor project to share with you.
Until then, happy stamping.
