ANOTHER ROUND OF GOLF

After using one of my husband’s battered golf balls for the photo of my card yesterday, I thought I should buy him so new ones.

I thought I should present them in a gift box. So, here is today’s project.

It’s not his birthday yet but I wanted to use the one of the sentiments from the CLUBHOUSE STAMP SET and the coordinating GOLF CLUB DIES.

The golf balls are certainly cleaner!

The COUNTRY CLUB DSP was perfect for making the gift box top for this project.

The LABEL ME FANCY PUNCH was just I needed to punch the holes into the end of each of the banners for the sentiment.

This was a fun project to make and would be great for birthdays, Father’s Day or other masculine occasions.

I hope this inspires you to create a gift box yourself.

Thanks for dropping by … happy stamping.

GOLF DAY

My husband has been enjoying Friday afternoon golf for the last few months, but he is about to return to work this week and has to miss it for a while.

I decided to make this card to let him know that I think he’s the greatest guy I know.

In Australia, we have different sporting clubs, not usually called ‘country clubs’. Rob plays golf at the Wynnum Golf Club with a few others.

The COUNTRY CLUB SUITE is perfect for projects for any golfing enthusiast.

For this card, I used the ABSOLUTELY ARGYLE 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER to give texture to the background Garden Green card stock.

A strip of the DSP was wrapped with linen thread to tie on a golfclub from the Contry Clubs Elements and popped up on dimensionals.

The golfer was stamped in Stazon and water coloured then cut out with the coordinating die.

When you look at the complete bundle on pages 46-48 of the January through June Mini Catalogue, I’m sure you’ll see the other elements I have used.

Using a few of Rob’s well used golfing bits and pieces for an authentic look.

Let me know what you think of this card.

Thanks for dropping by … happy stamping.

COLOUR INSPIRATION

I found a Lindt chocolate bunny while I was shopping last week and I bought it because I thought I could colour some of the FLOWERING FOILS SPECIALTY DSP and make a gift box for it.

I used STAMPIN’ BLENDS to colour the flowers. The box was quick and easy to make, as was the belly band, and I actually did some fussy cutting.

The WORD WISHES DIES, from the Annual Catalogue, were perfect for the ‘Happy Easter’.

With only five weeks until Easter, I still have a few more gift boxes to make.

Thanks for dropping by … happy stamping.
