SENDING HEALING HUGS

My brother-in-law and his wife returned home, early from their overseas holiday, last week and are half way through their mandatory 14 day isolation.

We were able to help out by leaving food for them the afternoon before they arrived home and pick up some groceries a few days later.

That made me think – what other things could be left at someone’s front door, if they need support – to send healing hugs, instead of physical ones.

I thought chocolate, tissues and throat lozenges could do the trick – popped into a lovely gift bag.

This is a quick and easy gift bag to make.

The LABEL ME FANCY PUNCH has a handy slot section in the punch which I used to create the space for the FLAX RIBBON to pass through.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.

HEADING TO MAUI?

I celebrated my 7th year as a Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator two days ago – several years as a hobby demonstrator and the last couple evolving into a business demonstrator.

With this comes goal setting and challenges.

I have achieved my goal to attend On Stage Live events internationally and am still working toward others, including progressing to Silver Elite and earning an Incentive Trip.

One way that I thought I could encourage myself to continue to work toward these goals was to create a swap that I could take on an incentive trip.

With the 2020 Incentive Trip being Maui, I knew that the TROPICAL OASIS SUITE would be perfect.

However, it wasn’t until I saw a recent Facebook Live from Emma Goddard that I knew what I could create … THANK YOU EMMA FOR YOUR INSPIRATION!

She, so cleverly, created a lid for the bag from the ALL DRESSED UP DIES using the STITCHED NESTED LABELS DIES to create a gift box.

While I was watching Emma’s feed, I could see a tropical beach bag …

Oops, my bag lid looks a bit wonky in this photo.

Time for a close up –

The textures of the 3D embossing folder, trinkets and burlap are perfect for a beach bag!

So, no Maui beach bags to swap this year.

Time to move onto Caribbean inspired creations and working hard to qualify!

I used products from four different bundles/suites for this project – that is how amazing Stampin’ Up! coordination is!

Below, you will find a montage of the products I used for this project.

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.

A LITTLE BOX OF LOVE

I recently found a tutorial for this little gift box on Caroline Helwigh Wright’s page, Crafty Caroline Creates.

It is amazing how generous other crafters are, when they freely share ideas and instructions … so, thank you Caroline!

Using the Parisian Blossoms Specialty DSP and the Parisian Beauty Stamp Set resulted in this:

The box is a little under 2.25″ cubed.
The ribbon belly band slides off and the hinged lid opens easily.

I can imagine all sorts of goodies being popped in the box for a special occasion -chocolates and jewellery come to mind.

I’m looking forward to making more of these boxes and sharing them, with you, another day.

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.
