A LITTLE BOX OF LOVE

I recently found a tutorial for this little gift box on Caroline Helwigh Wright’s page, Crafty Caroline Creates.

It is amazing how generous other crafters are, when they freely share ideas and instructions … so, thank you Caroline!

Using the Parisian Blossoms Specialty DSP and the Parisian Beauty Stamp Set resulted in this:

The box is a little under 2.25″ cubed.
The ribbon belly band slides off and the hinged lid opens easily.

I can imagine all sorts of goodies being popped in the box for a special occasion -chocolates and jewellery come to mind.

I’m looking forward to making more of these boxes and sharing them, with you, another day.

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.

FRANGIPANIS

Chocolate wasn’t the only thing I bought on Monday to make a gift box for. I found some very fragrant soaps.

I chose a lemongrass and lemon myrtle soap for myself and a frangipani and evening primrose soap as a house guest gift.

When I saw the frangipani soap, I knew it would coordinate perfectly with the TROPICAL OASIS SUITE.

The gift box was decorated with panels cut from one of the TROPICAL OASIS DSP sheets and I used one of the floral stickers from the TROPICAL OASIS MEMORIES & MORE CARD PACK.

I stamped ‘TO: FROM:’ from the SO SENTIMENTAL STAMP SET and used the LABEL ME LOVELY and LABEL ME FANCY PUNCHES for the gift tag.

The lid was secured by attaching some DAFFODIL DELIGHT RUCHED RIBBON behind the gift tag.

I hope that our next guest enjoys their gift.

Thanks for dropping by … happy stamping.

FOR ALL MY NEW ZEALAND FRIENDS

I was shopping on Monday and wanted to buy some goodies to make gift boxes for. When I found an ARTISAN COLLECTION block of chocolate from New Zealand, it went straight into my trolley.

The colours and images of the packaging were perfect for a Stampin’ Up! ® project: Rich Razzleberry and gold embossed palm trees from the TIMELESS TROPICAL STAMP SET and coordinating IN THE TROPICS DIES, as well as some of the coordinating embellishments from the suite.

Everyone knows that chocolate is delicious; so a layered, die cut Yummilicious sentiment from the SO SENTIMENTAL BUNDLE was the only way to complete the gift box.

Now that I have made the gift box, I can try the Whittaker’s Hawke’s Bay Black Doris Plum and Roasted Almond Chocolate – it sounds delicious!

It’s tough work, but someone has to do it!

Thanks for dropping by … happy stamping.
