POSITIVE THOUGHTS

The POSITIVE THOUGHTS STAMP SET wasn’t in my first order … or my second. Don’t get me wrong – I liked it from the beginning, especially the fern image.

When I saw the NATURE’S THOUGHTS DIES in the Coordination Product Release … it made the very next order.

While it is definitely still Summer in Queensland. I looked to an Autumn palette for this card … mossy meadow, cajun craze, pumpkin pie and crushed curry.

I used the Stampin’ Write® Markers to colour directly onto the stamp … lighter colours first. I haven’t used this technique in ages.

I’m really happy with the end result … lots of layers, background stamping off, linen thread and a few rogue sequins.

I think the sentiment lends itself to different situations.

Thanks for stopping by … and happy stamping.

FLOWERING FOILS

There is a Sale-a-bration Second Release coming on March 3 – 31 … even more freebies to earn with qualifying orders.

For this project, I used the FLOWERING FOILS SPECIALTY DSP … the four paper designs are just so elegant. I can’t wait to create projects with the other three.

For this card, I chose to colour the floral images using a variety of Stampin’ Blends … simple colouring, stamping, punching and layering.

I love that the Blends will colour a white ribbon, ensuring great colour coordination.

I used some retired Rose Gold Foil to compliment the DSP.

Thanks for dropping by … happy stamping.

THINKING OF MY BROTHER

As I was flicking through the January to June Mini Catalogue, several times, I knew that I needed to have the DO THE IMPOSSIBLE STAMP SET.

The reason is because swimming, riding and running are the three elements of an event my younger brother has competed in … the Busselton Ironman.

Our plans were to go to Busselton, for the event, at the end of last year … for him to compete, for us to scatter mum’s ashes in her home town of Harvey and to visit the wineries and breweries of the Margaret River region. It would have been a great trip.

Unfortunately, Jason was advised by his physio and doctor to give it a miss in 2019 … so this card is designed to inspire him to keep this goal alive!

I hope he likes it!

Thanks for dropping by … happy stamping.
