SUPER CUTE CHRISTMAS CHOCOLATE GIFT BOX

I recently found a bag of super cute and colourful Christmas chocolates and knew immediately that I could make a gift box to pop them into.

I used the Reindeer Days Memories & More Card Pack and Joyful Sayings Mix & Match Ephemera Pack for this project.

To start this project I measured the chocolate coins and then planned the gift box insert. As I have learned – measure twice, cut once!

From there, I was able to determine the measurements for the box base and lid – 5 3/8″x 5 3/8″ for the base and the lid is 1/16″ larger.

The Garden Green insert works well but I would like to keep developing it so that the ‘joins’ align better.

To secure the box, I wrapped a length of Real Red & Gold Dotted Ribbon around the box and tied a bow.

Then I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of a trimmed down Memories & More card and placed it over the ribbon.

Finally, I added one of the elements from the Joyful Sayings Ephemera pack to the card.

Tomorrow I plan to move on to using the Surfing Santa Stamp Set.

Until then, happy stamping.

HOW TO USE AN IKEA SHADOW BOX & STAMPIN’ UP! CHRISTMAS PRODUCTS TO CREATE A SEASONAL DECOR ITEM

For this decor project I opted to use the A LITTLE BIT FESTIVE 12″x 12″ SPECIALTY DESIGNER SERIES PAPER pack.

It has 6 sheets of patterned paper – 1 each of 3 double-sided designs AND 1 each of 3 single-sided die-cut designs, including some gold foil elements.

I used the full sheet of pine leaves and Christmas baubles as the background for this project – bottom left of the image above.

Then I cut 9 Basic Thick White panels using the largest of the square dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies pack.

Ruler in hand, I then positioned and adhered these white squares on the DSP.

The next step was to decide where to place some of the die cut images from the DSP pack.

After a bit of rearranging and when I was happy, I then secured them with Multipurpose Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I also used some elements from the Joyful Saying Ephemera Pack to finish the design.

Tomorrow I have a 3D Christmas chocolate box to share with you.

Until then happy stamping.

HOW TO MAKE A HAPPY HIBISCUS GIFT BOX FOR SOME CUTE AUSTRALIAN CHOCOLATES

Today I have a 5″x 5″x 5/8″ Real Red gift box that holds four super cute chocolates.

For the flowers, I embossed and die cut several hibiscus from Real Red Two-tone Card. By rubbing an emery board across the surface of the flowers I was able to expose some of the white core.

Some leaves were cut and attached to the back of three large hibiscus along with a short length of Real Red & Gold Dotted Ribbon.

The flowers were then arranged in a wreath and secured to the gift box lid using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The greeting was stamped and cut with the circle die from the Happy Hibiscus Bundle. It was then positioned in the centre of the wreath.

To finish the box I added some gold sequins from the Neutrals Adhesive-backed Sequins.

I will have a fun fold card to share with you tomorrow.

Until then, happy stamping.
