WELCOME TO THE FIRST Colour INKspiration CHALLENGE OF 2024

2024 kicks off with Colour INKspiration’s #158 Challenge.

This challenge will run for 5 weeks, so you will have loads of time to create your own project and share it with us – https://www.facebook.com/groups/349642308720075

This week I am featuring the Adoring Hearts Bundle, Thoughtful Moments Hybrid Embossing Folder and Brayer. So I have used these products and the challenge colours to create this card.

I started by using the new Stampin’ Brayer to create the background panel, using three of the challenge colours. This is going to be one of my favourite techniques I think.

The next step was to adhere this to a Thick Basic White card base.

I used 6″ x 6″ pieces of card stock and embossed and die cut the hearts. These were then positioned on the front of the card and secured with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The next step was to transfer Blueberry Bushl ink to the logo side of the embossing folder using the brayer. I carefully placed the coordinating die on the same side of the folder and positioned a 6″ x 6″ piece of Basic White card stock over the die.

After running the embossing folder throught the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, I had all of the greetings stamped and cut.

I used Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the ‘Love You’ greeting on the front of the card.

With 40 embossed and die cut hearts leftover, I chose one for the inside of the card and one for the envelope.

To finish the card I added some Blueberry Bushel gems, from the Tinsel Gems Four-Pack, to the card front.

Tomorrow is 3D Thursday and I have a cute little gift box to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.

TIME FOR ANOTHER PROJECT USING THIS WEEK’S FEATURED PRODUCTS

For this project I am only using the Most Adored Specialty Designer Series Paper, from the January – February Sale-a-bration Brochure. It was designed to coordinate with the Adoring Hearts Bundle.

This DSP also works well with many other stamp sets and I am teaming this paper with the Lifetime of Love Stamp Set from the January – April Mini Catalogue.

As you will see, you can combine them to make a gorgeous wedding card.

This is quite a quick and easy card to make. I started with a Basic White card base and added a panel of Gold Foil. Then a piece of the hearts DSP was added.

The greeting was stamped using Real Red ink before being cut using one of the square Stylish Shaped Dies.

This was then adhered to a gold square. A length of gold ribbon, from the Gold & Silver Trim bundle, was wrapped around these squares before being tied in a bow.

Stampin’ Dimensionals were used to lift the greeting up from card front.

I sanother greeting inside the card and on the back of the envelope.

I like the understated elegance of this card.

The Lifetime of Love Stamp Set is going to be my new go-to stamp set for wedding cards.

Later today I will post another project created for the first ColourINKspiration Challenge of 2024.

Until then, happy stamping.

TUESDAY MEANS THAT IT’S TIME FOR SOME TIPS & TECHNIQUES INSPIRATION

Today’s card, using the new products associated with the Brayering & Layering page of the new January – April Mini Catalogue, features heat embossing and die cutting. Tomorrow, I will share some brayering tips and techniques.

I chose a stunning gold foil paper design from the Most Adored 12″ x 12″ Specialty DSP to use with this project.

You can see the paper on the top row, of the image above, third from the left – a stunning marbled, gold design.

After adhering the DSP panel to the front of the card I created the die cut and heat embossed elements.

I used the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut the four Basic White squares for this card. A panel of Adhesive Sheets was attached to the back of piece of Gold Foil and then I die cut the three hearts. After peeling the backing away, I secured the hearts to the squares.

For the 4th square, I stamped the greeting using Versamark and then sprinkled gold embossing powder. Using my Heat Tool, I set the gold powder.

I took a length of gold Simply Elegant Trim to create and secure loops behind the greeting panel.

All of these squares had Stampin’ Dimensionals positioned on the back before being placed on the card front.

Tomorrow, I have a very different looking card for you. It is my card for the first 2024 Colour INKspiration Challenge #158.

Until then, happy stamping.
