TODAY IS TUESDAY & IT’S TIME FOR SOME TIPS AND TECHNIQUES

Today I want to share three simple techniques with you:

  1. Use your Stampin’ Blends to colour a light coloured ribbon.
  2. Use your Take Your Pick tool to pick up a couple of centre threads and pull them up to create a ruched effect.
  3. Layer and overlap thin panels of DSP to create interest.

I also used some Blends colouring that I shared this time last week.

When I look at this photo I can see that the main DSP panel is not parallel – I am going to cut this card apart and reattach all the elements to a new card base to correct this problem.

The Pebble Path card base coordinates with the DSP designs I chose for this card. The checked DSP was cut into 1 1/4″ strips and then adhered over the vanilla bean DSP. They were angled and overlapped.

I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock and cut the left hand side using one of the Notes of Nature Dies. THis die gives a fabulous spiral notebook finish, that looks even better when it is torn away.

I stamped the cacao image twice – once on to the die cut panel and the other onto a scrap of Basic White.

I coloured and die cut the second cacao image. Then, with Stampin’ Dimensionals, I positioned it over the image stamped on the die cut panel.

A length of Pecan Pie Centre Stripe Ribbon was coloured with my Dark Pecan Pie Stampin’ Belnds pen. Then I lifted up the Pecan Pie threads and ruched the ribbon. The ends of the ribbon were then tucked under the back of the die cut panel and secured with Tear and Tape.

The sentiment was stamped and trimmed before being placed on the card front.

I stamped the ‘field notes’ image on the card insert and back of the envelope.

Finally, I coloured some Flat Adhesive-backed Pearls iwth my Light Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends pen.

Tomorrow I have a journal project to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.

IT’S MONDAY & THAT MEANS IT IS TIME TO HIGHLIGHT SOME NEW STAMPIN’ UP! PRODUCTS

This week I am featuring the Nature’s Sweetness Suite Collection.

This such a stunning collection of products. I hope that you like the prjects I have made for you this week.

The first one is a lovely card featuring the Designer Series Paper.

For this card, I started with a Pecan Pie card base and then added three different patterns from the Nature’s Sweetnes 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper.

The vanilla bean and flower panel was stamped with the splatters image, using Pecan Pie.

I wrapped a length of the Gold 1/8″ Faux Leather Trim around the vanilla bean and flower panel and tied a knot and trimmed the trim. This layer was popped up over the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The greeting was stamped on a piece of Basic White card and trimmed down. It also had dimensionals added to the back and then popped on the card.

The card insert and envelope also had DSP added.

Finally, I some Adhesive-backed Cork Rounds to the card.

Tomorrow I have another project to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.

IT’S SUNDAY & I HAVE A CHALLENGE PROJECT TO SHARE

The Global Design Project weekly challenge is always fun to participate in. This week it is a sketch challenge.

Click on the image below and you will be taken across to the GDP site. Make sure that you check out the amazing projects from the Design Team.

This week I am featuring the new Online Exclusive Bundle – A Little Latte Suite Collection. As a demonstrator, I was able to buy this suite early. My customers, old and new, can order this from tomorrow – 4th March.

This collection of products is perfect for this project.

163466 $135AUD

Make sure you let me know what you think of my card.

I started by choosing this fabulous coffee cup rings designed paper to use as the first layer.

To create the overlapping shapes, from the sketch, I used the largest square from the Perennial Postage Dies.

I added strips of Stampin’ Dimensionals under this die cut layer on to the Pecan Pie cardbase.

Then I cut two smaller squares in Early Espresso to adhere inside the negative space.

I used the cup shape from the Latte Love Dies to cut four colourful cups of coffee from the gorgeous Designer Series Paper.

Two of these cups were postioned over the die cut spaces, using dimensionals to lift them up. The other two cups were adhered to the card insert and envelope.

The greeting was stamped, using Lost Lagoon, before I trimmed it to 7/8″ and the end was shaped using the Banners Pick a Punch.

Finally, I added some Lost Lagoon Tinsel Gems, from the three pack collection.

Tomorrow I will have another Latte Love project to share with you.

I will also add a shopping list tomorrow when these new products are available to customers.

Until then happy stamping.
