THANK YOU FOR FOLLOWING …

It’s probably very obvious that I am relatively new to all this online stuff.

I have had a Facebook account for a little while … so that I can be involved in some Stampin’ Up groups and follow friends with more skills than myself.

This whole website thing is very new but incredibly exciting.

I’ve been looking at My Stats to see where different people have been looking at my blog from – and it’s amazing – Australia, UK, USA, Canada, Brazil, New Zealand, Germany, France, Portugal, Mexico, Indonesia, Sweden, Spain, Kenya and Italy (my favourite country outside Australia)!

This is almost as good as travelling!!

And, I love to travel and have been very fortunate to experience many of these countries.

Welcome to everyone who pops by … I hope you enjoy what you see.

Please contact me … I would love to hear about where you are and what you enjoy doing craft-wise ….

And to the very brave followers of my blog … thanks for jumping on board … I would love to know more about you, so if you are keen – contact me … we could become friends …

SOURCES OF INSPIRATION … 2

Oops … I haven’t added any sources of inspiration because I’ve been away for a few days.

It was wonderful to spend a few days in beautiful Noosa catching up with my sister, Karen, and her husband and one of my two lovely nieces. My brother, Jason, and his wife also came for the weekend. It has been a few years since we have been able to share time together.

No cardmaking during this time … but lots of laughter, food and wine.

So … where else do I suggest you go to seeking inspiration for your card designs and project ideas … the internet is where I go.

What did we do before the online information age?!?  I’m old enough to say that when I went to school our only source of information came from books and other resources accessed in a library … and we only ever hand wrote an assignment or if we were lucky enough, typed it on a manual typewriter (yes – I am that old!!).

My internet suggestions include:

GOOGLE

GOOGLE images

Pintrest

Websites for groups such as Splitcoast Stampers

and the websites and blogs of amazing crafters that you discover through the aforementioned sources  ..

I have an art journal into which I sketch the ideas I find from all these sources … organised by stamp set and/or tools, making notes about the crafter I am CASEing.

Let me show you some of the cards that I have made this year – inspired by …

GOOGLE Images – a Pintrest image of Helene den Breejen

   and my interpretation … IMG_0263

Thank you Helene for your inspiration.

Again, via GOOGLE images and Pintrest … from Rachel Brown

 and my interpretation … IMG_0269

Thank you Rachel for your inspiration.

There are many more that I will share in time.

Sources of Inspiration 3 … soon.

One of the technical things on my ‘to learn to do’ list is – watermarking my images.

I am so thrilled to have so many new things to do and learn to do …

VALENTINE’S DAY … COUNTDOWN

With Valentine’s Day only a month away, I thought I’d start designing some cards.

The lovely new products in the Occasions Catalogue make it very easy to create cards for the one/s you love, during this romantic time of the year.

For these cards, I chose very simple layouts and used the new Happy Heart Textured Embossing Folder, Hello Life stamp set and one teeny heart punched from the Confetti Heart Border Punch (the rest is for another project not quite finished yet) …. along with a little bling from silver Glimmer Paper and elements from other products from our current catalogues.

I hope you’re all starting to prepare something special for your Valentine …. don’t forget to share.
