TODAY IS TUESDAY & IT’S TIME FOR SOME TIPS & TECHNIQUES

Today’s card combines dry embossing and colouring techniques.

Using the Delightful Doily Hrbrid Embossing Folder, I used a panel of White Vellum to create a beautifully textured layer to place over the Calypso Coral card base.

TIP: To adhere this embossed panel, to the card front, I used Mini Glue Dots. I positoined them behind some of the circular floral centres.

The large magnolia image was stamped, coloured and die cut. Before placing it on the card front, I painted it with Clear Wink of Stella.

I used my Dark Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blend to colour a length of Silver & White Sheer Ribbon.

TIP: You don’t always need to stamp an image outline in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. For this image I stamped the flower in Pecan Pie.

The ribbon was then wrapped under the flower and secured with Stampin’ Seal.

The birthday greeting, from the Sweetly Scripted Stamp Set, was stamped using Calypso Coral. Then the greeting was trimmed down and added to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

TIP: Use the same Stampin’ Blend to colour a number of Neutrals Adhesive-backed Sequins.

The coloured sequins were then added to the card.

The magnolia bud was stamped on the card insert and the back of the envelope.

Tomorrow I have a wonderful decor piece to share.

Until then, happy stamping.

IT’S MONDAY & THAT MEANS IT IS TIME TO HIGHLIGHT SOME NEW STAMPIN’ UP! PRODUCTS

This week I am highlighting the Magnolia Mood Bundle.

This gorgeous stamp set, and coordinating dies, is perfect for so many cards and occasions.

For this card, I also used the Delightful Doily Hybrid Embossing Folder and Dies, and the Sweetly Scripted Stamp Set.

I started by stamping the large magnolia image using Pecan Pie ink. After die cutting the flower, I coloured it using Bubble Bath and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. The flowers and leaves were then painted with Clear Wink of Stella.

Using the Delightful Doily Hybrid Embossing Folder and coordinating dies, I embossed and cut a piece of White Vellum. I also cut a piece of Bubble Bath card.

After overlayig these two pieces and securing them with Mini Glue Dots, I adhered them to the front panel.

I tied a small bow in a length of Bubble Bath coloured Silver & White Sheer Ribbon and wrapped it around the front panel. A Mini Glue Dot secrued the bow in place.

The large magnolia image was stamped in Pecan Pie before being coloured with Stampin’ Blends Pens – Bubble Bath, Granny Apple Green and Lemon Lolly. Then I painted the flower with Clear Wink of Stella.

The flower was then positioned, over the embossed and die cut doily, using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the greeting, from the Sweetly Scriped Stamp Set, using Bubble Bath ink and trimmed it down to fit across the card. After placing Stampin’ Dimensionals behind the greeting, it is popped up across the card front.

The magnolia bud was stamped inside the card and on the back of the envelope.

Finally, I added some Neutral Adhesive-backed Sequins to the card front.

Tomorrow I have another Mangolia project to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.

IT IS SUNDAY & TIME TO SHARE MY GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT CHALLENGE PROJECT

I only have a few more weeks to participate in the weekly Global Design Project challenges because Rob and I are heading overseas for 10 weeks!

These weekly challenges ensure that I am always looking to create a project to meet the challenge guidelines. So often these challenges take me outside my comfort zone.

The week #GDP437 is a colour challenge.

For this challenge I chose one of the new bundles from the 2024 – 2025 Annual Catalogue – Country Flowers Bundle.

The technique I decided to use was the Clear Wink of Stella ‘water colouring’ technique.

After I stamped and die cut the bouquet of flowers and teapot I added ink directly from my Classic Stampin’ Pads onto clear blocks painted the images using the Clear Wink of Stella brush.

I used a Basic White card base and two matte layers; one in Shaded Spruce and one in Highland Heather.

The Highland Heather layer was embossed with the new So Swirly Embossing Fodler.

The Coastal Cabana and Basic White layers were cut using the new Country Flowers Dies.

I wrapped a length of Silver & White Sheer Ribbon arond the embossed Highland Heather layer and tied a bow. Then I added two lengths of silver trim from the Simply Elegant Trim bundle, and tied an extra double bow.

The Highland Heather layer was then adhered to the Shaded Spruce layer and secured on the white card base.I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of both the Coastal Cabana and Basic White die cut circles.

These were layered together before being trimmed along the right hand side. Then I added these circles onto the card front, over the ribbon.

The greeting was stamped and trimmed before being positioned on the front of the card using a strip from the edge of the dimensionals sheet.

I added the teapot to the white circle and then added the bouquet. These were both secured with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

‘Flower Market’ was stamped inside the card and on the back of the envelope.

Finally, I added some of the Purple Fine Shimmer Gems to the card front.

I had made an earlier card for this challenge, but I didn’t like it as much as this one.

Here is my first endeavour:

For this card I used almost the same products. Instead of the So Swirly Embossing Folder, I used the new Dotted Circle 3D Embossing Folder.

I stamped the images directly onto the Basic White circle for this project.

I used different dies from the Country Flowers Dies set and coloured the Silver & White Sheer Ribbon.

I won’t be able to provide you with a shopping link until these new products go live for customers, from May. I hope in the descriptions I have given you will know what I have used for these projecrs.

Until next, happy stamping.
