PLAYING WITH NEW PRODUCTS …

There are so many great things about being an Independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrator ….

and each year at this time, it is definitely being able to pre-order from the new Annual Catalogue.

I have already shared the new catalogue with the wonderful ladies who come to my classes and I am sure they are looking through it and discovering all the wonderful new products they can be adding to their Wishlists, ready to start ordering in early June.

One of the new Stampin’ Up! bundles includes the Swirly Bird Stamp Set and Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies [Remember: BUNDLE & SAVE 10% … this bundle is $80].

I am quite surprised by how ‘dark’ my card seems to be.

I didn’t start with a layout design …

I just wanted to start by doing a clear dry emboss of one of the smaller swirly stamps onto a dark cardstock and see where this took me … I chose Basic Black – but will use Night of Navy next … then I wanted to use some of the layered diecuts techniques I had used at Christmas … and then try to find a current sentiment that matched the final layout …

It may not be to everyone’s taste but this is where this idea took me … IMG_1515

… I am looking forward to more playtime and some brighter and cheerier cards.

P.S. … I am currently teaching Macbeth to my Year 11s … so darkness has been ever present in the last few weeks.

BIRTHDAYS & BALLOONS … THIS MONTH’S STAMPIN’ TIME CLASS

This month’s class is all about creating BIRTHDAY CARDS to have on hand, ready for when you need them.

I have used ideas from the Occasions Catalogue for the four standard cards and gift cards [two of the same design] … Stampin’ Up! catalogues are always full of amazing ideas … so if you are seeking inspiration, this a great place to start.

This class will be held at my place [if you are new to my classes, I will give you address details on booking your place] on Sunday 29th May, starting at 1pm. The cost is $20.

BIRTHDAYS & BALLOONS … DATE CHANGES

This seems to be becoming a bad habit of late … I moved the date for my 2016-2017 Annual Catalogue launch event because of a major craft event clash … and now, I need to adjust the dates for the Stampin’ Time classes in May.

My plan is to offer Stampin’ Time classes on the first and third Sunday of each month … unless there is a clash of some significance.

My May ‘Birthdays and Balloons’ classes need to move from the 8th and 22nd to 15th and 29th May … this change is needed so that I can work around some things I need to do this month to support my mum … I hope that everyone is understanding.

CLASS DETAILS –

This class will feature the Number of Years and Balloon Celebration range of products from the Occasions catalogue.
We will create a variety of birthday cards ready to send to any birthday boy or girl … of any age … four cards and two gift cards.
The class has three different opportunities for you:
* class only cost of $20
*class and either the Number of Years or /Balloon Celebration stamp set for $65
* class and either the Number of Years stamp set and famelits bundle – $100 or the Balloon Celebration stamp set and punch bundle – $80
If you are unable to make it to the 15th May class, the ‘encore class’ will be held on the 29th May.
I will post some ‘spoiler’ images of the cards in a few days.
