TIME TO SHARE MY COLOUR INKSPIRATION #163 PROJECT

Welcome to our 163rd challenge at Colour INKspiration! We welcome Teah Karr Woodward as our Guest Designer.

Today’s picture which has inspired our colour palette was chosen by Colour INKspiration Crew Member, Monica Formosa. As well as the chosen colour combination for #CI163, Crushed Curry, Poppy Parade, Coastal Cabana, Gorgeous Grape and Starry Sky, you may also add Basic White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Basic Beige, Basic Black and metallics to your project. We also allow ‘Ivory’, Bronze’ and ‘Natural Tones’ in the Stampin’ Blends. If you don’t have the colours in our palette, feel free to use the closest Stampin’ Up! colour.

These colours are so vivid and it took me a while to figure out which stamp set/bundle I would use. Then Attention Shoppers came to mind.

I decided to use a Basic White card base and a panel of Crushed Curry paper from the 2023-2024 Regals 6″x 6″ DSP pack.

Then I used Gorgeous Grape and Basic Black card stock, with Adhesive Sheet attached to each, to die cut the shopping trolley.

The fun part was then stamping each of the shopping trolley items, several times, and then die cutting them. Then I used Stampin’ Write Markers and Stampin’ Blends to colour each of them.

Because the greeting I chose was ‘Treat Yourself’, I needed to fill the trolley with loads of goodies.

I stamped the same greeting inside the card and on the back of the envelope.

For bling, I added Clear Wink of Stella onto each of the trolley items.

One day soon I hope to find where the flower bouquet die has disappeard to!

Tomorrow I have my 3D Beach Day project to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.

If you live in Australia, you can order any of the products I used to make this card by going to my online store. Because the Attention Shoppers Bundle is not yet available to customers, I haven’t created a product display for this post. I have shared most of the products that I have used through the descriptions above.

WELL, WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS WEDNESDAY?

Welcome to my weekly Wednesday post.

Usually I will try to share the latest Stampin’ Up! news with you – however, if I am scheduling posts in advance I won’t be able to do that. When that happens, I will share updates with you directly on my Facebook business page.

That will definitely need ot happen soon – Rob & I are heading off for a 10 week overseas holiday on April 18th. MY goal, at the moment, is to try and create as many projects and schedule posts, so that while I am away, I can still share with you. Fingers-crossed I can achieve this goal!

For today, I have another Beach Day Bundle project to share with you.

For this card I have created a similar Crumb Cake beach scene with Pecan Pie colour flecks.

This layer was adhered to the Blueberry Bushel card base.

Then I added two palm trees – Pecan Pie trunk and Garden Green fronds.

I added clouds that I cut using the Hot Air Balloon Dies and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop them up on the card front.

The seagulls were stamped and cut before adding them to the card front using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the surfboard image across several ieces of the Bright & Beautiful 6″x 6″ DSP and then die cut them. Five were adhered to the card front and one each were adhered to the card insert and the back of the envelope.

Finally, I stamped the greeting and trimmed it into sections before adding it to the card front.

Tomorrow I have both a technique card and 3D project to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.

TODAY IS TUESDAY & IT’S TIME FOR SOME TIPS AND TECHNIQUES

Today I wanted to share a quick and easy technique with you.

When I discovered that the Bright & Beautiful 6″x 6″ Designer Series Paper was perfect for this bundle, I chose one of the designs to use for this card – well, several sheets of this paper design.

The technique is PAPER TEARING. Essentially, I tore strips of the DSP from side to side.

TIP: By lifting the paper as I tore it, I was able to expose the white inner area of the paper.

Then I adhered each strip of paper, from dark to light, creating a wave-like pattern.

After creating this wavy background, I chose to adhere it to a Basic White panel.

Then I used the wavy die, from the Beach Day bundle, to create the foreground layer. I took the Dark Pecan Pie Blend Pen to add flecks of colour to the ‘beach’.

The palm tree was made by die cutting the palm leaves from Pretty Peacock card stock and the trunk from Pecan Pie card.

The deck chair was stamped onto a piece of the DSP and cut using the coordinating die.

After stamping the greeting, I cut it using one of the Autumn Leaves Dies. Then I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the greeting anf placed it on the card front.

I added a strip of the torn DSP on the card insert and stamped a deck chair on the back of the envelope.

Finally, I added some of the gems from the Tinsel Gems 3 Pack to the card front.

Tomorrow I have another card to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.
