TUESDAY IS A TECHNIQUE KIND OF DAY

As you may now, from yesterday’s post, I am featuring the All Zipped Up Bundle and Full of Life 6″x 6″ Designer Series Paper.

This is a wonderful pairing of products – and, the DSP is so gloriously bright and bold.

The technique I have used today is paper piecing.

I used the two long trim dies to cut the sheet of DSP and a panel of Granny Apple Green card.

After cutting the DSP and card, I alternated them and adhered them to a card panel to hold them in place.

After securing this panel to the cardbase, I stamped the greeting and added the zipper frame on either side. I trimmed this greeting panel and then attached it to the card using dimensionals.

I die cut three of the flowers and added them to the card.

Using Linen Thread, I tied a triple bow and attached it to the card using a Mini Glue Dot.

I attached a die cut flower to the back of the envelope and a strip of the DSP inside the card.

Tomorrow I have another technique card to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.

MEMORIES THIS MONDAY – A SCRAPBOOKING PAGE LAYOUT TO SHARE WITH YOU

This week I am featuring the All Zipped Up Bundle and Full of Life 6″x 6″ Designer Series Paper.

I used these products to create my ‘Zipping Along Nicely’ scrapbook page.

I started by creating four ‘zip front’ pockets with tagged Basic White inserts for photos and journalling.

After adhering the pockets to the layout base, I created the cascading flowers and hearts decoration. Some of the shapes were glued directly onto the layout base while others were popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

NOTE TO SELF: Position the title before securing the cascading shapes.

The colours in the Full of Life DSP pack are bright and refreshing.

The Keeping Tabs Punch is an essential tool to have in your crafting collection.

Tomorrow I have a technique card to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.

IT’S FRIDAY & TIME FOR A FABULOUS FUN FOLD CARD

My card today is inspired by an Easy Explosion Card that Patty Bennett recently shared. As she mentioned, this is a great card for using your 6″x 6″ Designer Series Paper.

Thank you Patty!

Here is the card she inspried.

I started with a Timid Tiger card base and then used a 6″x 6″ piece of one of the Celebratory Sips DSP for the exploding card insert.

The card front had a 4 1/8″x 4 1/8″ panel of Old Olive card and a 4″x 4″ piece of the DSP.

I stamped the greetnig, in Timid Tiger, and then cut it with one of the Stylish Shapes Dies circles.

Then I cut an Old Olive circle from the Spotlight on Nature Dies set.

Before layering the circles and adding them to the card front, I cut a strip of Secret Sea card and a length of Gold Striped Mesh Ribbon, to place behind them.

I added one of the fussy cut glasses to the card front.

The exploding insert is very easy to create.

I added Basic White and Old Olive square die cuts inside the card.

The same greeting from the front of the card was also stamped inside.

Finally, I added one of the fussy cut glasses inside the card.

I’m not sure what I will be featuring next but I will have something for you – stay tuned!

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.
