THURSDAY MEANS THAT IT IS TIME FOR A 3D PROJECT

Today’s 3D project was inspired by one of the die-cut frames that I found in the Frames & Flowers Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.

The box measures 5 3/8″ (L) x 4 1/8″ (W) x 2″ (D).

The box has a Lost Lagoon base and a Petal Pink lid.

I took a panel of Lost Lagoon card and embossed it with the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder.

A 24″ length of Petal Pink ribbon, from the Diagonal Trim Combo Pack, was secured to the base of the box and then tied in a bow at the upper, right-hand side of the box.

The embossed panel was then adhered to the box lid with Multipurpose Glue.

The frame had Stampin’ Dimensionals added so that it could sit up above the embossed panel.

the greeting, from the Softly Said Stamp Set, was stamped in Lost Lagoon and cut using the largest square, from the Stylish Shapes Dies set. After cutting the square the die was repositioned to cut the square down to a rectangle.

The final touch was to add some of the Lost Lagoon gems, from the Faceted Gems Trio Pack, to add a little bling.

tomorrow I have a new fun fold card to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.

WELL, WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS WEDNESDAY?

Great news this week … all Stampin’ Up! kits are discounted by up to 30% for the month of October!

Today I have a super simple card to share with you.

It features the Frames & Flowers Designer Series Paper.

This card started with a Pretty Peacock card base.

Then I cut four 1 3/4″ square panels from the Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock designed paper.

I adhered each of these four panels to the card front with Multipurpose Glue.

The centre space was filled with a 3 3/4″ x 1 3/8″ panel of the DSP design on the reverse side of the corner panels.

Before adding the centre panel to the card front; I coloured, wrapped and tied a bow using a length of the Iridescent Striped Trim.

The greeting, from the Unbounded Love Stamp Set, was stamped using Pretty Peacock ink on to Petal Pink card. Then it was cut using one of the does from the Unbounded Love Dies set.

I added a strip of the DSP to the card insert and one of the die cut elements to the back of the envelope.

Finally, I added some of the smaller Pretty Peacock Blooming Pearls to the card.

Tomorrow I have a 3d project to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.

TODAY IS TUESDAY & IT’S TIME FOR SOME TIPS AND TECHNIQUES

I think that one of the best tips that I can ever share is:

TIP: Use any of the Stampin’ Up! catalogues as a source of inspiration. The concept artist team, at Stampin’ Up!, are SO creative and their ideas can be found on every page of every catalogue.

my project today was inspired by one of the 22 card templates that can be found on page 22 of the 2024 -2025 Annual Catalogue.

For today’s card, I was inspired by the template from the second row and second from the left.

I knew that I could use the amazing, new White Core Two-Tone Cardstock to easily tear the card and create a really effective white torn edge.

After preparing the Early Espresso cardbase, I added a panel of the Designer Series Paper.

Then I cut strips of the new White Core, Two-tone Card and began to tear away the edges to create the layers you can see. The layers were adhered together and then added to the bottom ot the DSP layer.

I used two the dies form the Nested Essentials Dies to cut the two banner elements that I added to the top, right-hand corner of the card.

Before adding these to the card front, I coloured a length of Iridescent Striped Ribbon using the Light Pumpkin Pie Blends pen. I cut it in half and looped it under the banner pieces.

I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the banner pieces to the card front.

To decorate the card front, I added three of the die cut flowers from the Frames & Flowers pack.

I attached some of the DSP to the card insert and back of the envelope.

Finally, I coloured some fo the Iridescent Basic Pearls Jewels with the Light Pumpkin Pie Blends pen.

Tomorrow I have a new project to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.
