HELLO SUNSHINE

And, just like that, I am back up and running. Having a break last week was just what I needed.

I am still deciding what the second half of 2022 will look like but I am still thinking about some changes to my weekly schedule.

Today I have a card that I have made for this week’s Global Design Project challenge. This week it is a sketch challenge. Click on the image to go to their page and see the amazing projects the team has created.

I used the Rays of Light and Sunny Splash Stamp Sets for my card.

I used the largest circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut the opening in the Pool Party layer. Then I used the Into the Clouds Embossing Folder to add texture to the layer.

I also embossed some Basic White cardstock and used the Cloud Punch .

The So Saffron Rays of Light image was cut into a circle using another of the Stylish Shapes Dies.

The embossed Pool Party layer was added to the Basic White card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sunshine circle was positioned inside the larger circular opening before I started placing the clouds across the front of the card.

The greeting, from the Sunny Splash Stamp Set, was stamped and trimmed down to this smaller size.

A length of Pool Party Sheer Ribbon was cut in half and tied into a #tammybow.

I coloured some of the Iridescent Pearls Basic Jewels using the Dark Pool Party Stampin’ Blends pen.

Tomorrow I will probably share one of the cards I made for my recent catalogue launch.

Until then, happy stamping.

A QUICK UPDATE

This past week I have been trying to restore my craft room to some sort of tidiness. It looked as if a cyclone had ripped through leaving a craftermath.

On Sunday, of last weekend, Robyn Lawton and I cohosted a Mini Catalogue and Sale-a-bration Launch Event combined with a B.O.G.O. Sale.

I wanted to share some photos of the event. For some reason, I can only upload a few images today. If you pop over to my Facebook page, you can see more –

For the rest of the week I will continue to tidy and do some planning for the rest of the year.

We were set up for 16 lovely ladies.

There were two make and take projects.

There were two project display tables.

There were six product playground experiences for everyone to try.

As you can see, we had quite a bit of setting up to do.

The display samples and new products were a great way let our customers get a better idea about what is available in the new catalogues.

I will have a new project and psot to share with you soon.

Until then, happy stamping.

IT IS A FINE DAY FOR A FUN FOLD CARD THIS FRIDAY

Fun Fold Friday is one of my favourite days of the week.

This week I have an origami inspired card. I found a sample of a simple miura fold card made by Lisa Brown back in 2020 – thanks Lisa.

This is the last project using my own ‘bundle’ for the week. The card features three panels with triangular folds. There is a 1″ wide belly band that holds the card in place.

I used the large stitched square die, from the Stylish Shapes Dies, to cut out the greeting so that I could add it to belly band.

I used a piece of 11-1/4″x 4-1/4″” Pool Party cardsock. Along the longer side, I scored it at 3-3/4″ and 7-1/2″.

For the triangular score lines, I measured in 1-7/8″ along the score lines and added a pencil mark (from the top on the left hand side and from the bottom on the right hand side). Then I scored from those pencil marks to the top and bottom edges. Then after some burnishing the triangles fold away perfectly.

I made a second card base so that I could create some templates in order to accurately cut the DSP panels.

Then I cut some of the ‘fan’ images from the DSP using one of the stitched circle dies in the Stylish Shapes Dies and added them to the card.

I really enjoyed making this card. Now’ it’s time to find some more origami inspiration for future projects.

Tomorrow is Saturday and time to introduce the products I will be featuring for the week. Make sure you pop by to check out what I have chosen.

Until then, happy stamping.
