GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT CHALLENGE

This week’s #GDP351 challenge theme is SHAPE.

My go to for this challenge were the Stylish Shapes Dies and I featured the square and circle stitched shapes.

I also used the Sun Prints 12″x 12″ Designer Series Paper and the Nature’s Prints Stamp Set.

I started by using the smallest square from the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut several pieces from three different DSP designs. The squares were then attached to a Basic White panel.

Then I used the circle dies to out 4 circles from the centre of the largest square.

After removing the die cut circles, I placed the remaining panel piece in the Fern 3D Embossing Folder and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.

I adhered this embossed panel onto a Basic White card base. Then I placed the circles back from where they came from, alternating the heights of each circle with dimensionals.

The greeting is from the Nature’sPrints Stamp Set which was die cut using the same small square die.

I coloured some Iridescent Rhinestones with my dark Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends pen.

I am very pleased with the card I have created for this challenge. What do you think?

Tomorrow I will start sharing some of the Christmas card samples I made for the recent catalogue launch.

Until then, happy stamping.

IT’S TIME FOR A NEW COLOUR INKSPIRATION CHALLENGE

This week’s challenge is so bright and cheerful.

May be an image of furniture and text that says 'COLOUR nSPIRATION SPIRATION CHALLENGES #125 Sweet Sorbet Pacific Point Starry Sky Basic Gray'

I decided to see how I could combine these colours with the Christmas Scottie Bundle. Let me know what you think.

I used the plaid image from the Christmas Scottie Stamp Set to stamp it in Pacific Point, Starry Sky and Sweet Sorbet. Then I used the smallest square from the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut three squares in each colour.

Then I positioned each of the squares on the card front.

The scottie image was inked in Basic Gray and then spritzed with some water. This gave the image a blotchy, textured and furry look. It was cut using the Scottie Dog Punch. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop the dog up from the front of the card.

A scrap of the plaid was punched to create the bow.

I used my Stamparatus to stamp the ‘lead’ in Memento Jet Black ink.

The greeting was stamped twice – once in Starry Sky and again, in Sweet Sorbet. I trimmed the FURRY AND BRIGHT and layered over the blue greeting. Dimensionals were used again to give different levels to the greeting.

Finally, I added some Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the card for a little bling.

Oops, I forgot to place the Pacific Point ink in this photo.

I look forward to seeing what you create for the #CI125 challenge.

Tomorrow I will have my Global Design Project card to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.

JUST LOOK AROUND YOU TO FIND INSPIRATION

I am always amazed at the places and things that can insire the projects I make. Most recently, as I walked into a local IGA store, I saw a cute ceramic planter that I knew would be perfect for my recent Mini Catalogue Launch.

So I used the new Trees For Sale Stamp Set and Tree Lot Dies to make a card sample for the display.

I used a Calypso Coral card base to match one of the banner colours from the planter.

The trees in the background were stamped in Evening Evergreen before adding the Soft Succulent die cut overlays. The Soft Succulent card had Adhesive Sheet attached, making it so easy to secure them.

Then I stamped the paw prints using Soft Suede. I think the prints, trailing off into the forest, are a great feature of this stamp set.

The sign was stamped and die cut before some Stampin’ Dimensionals were placed behind the sign and attached to the front of the card.

For the caravan I used Basic White and Mango Melody cardstock. After building the van, I coloured the door and window frame using the Light Balmy Blue Blends. The Light Gray Granite Blends pen was used for the stand and the Dark Black Blends pen for the tyre.

A scrap of Night of Navy cardstock was cut to appear like a curtain in the window and door openings. The final touch was to cut a banner from Calypso Coral.

I’m looking forward to creating with the caravan more.

This week I will feature some of the other samples I created for the launch display.

Until then, happy stamping.
