HOW TO USE A STAMPARATUS TO CREATE CIRCLE OF FLOWERS

My Stamparatus is one of my favourite Stampin’ Up! ® tools. I can stamp well coloured images with precision, stamp multiple cards in exactly the same place, hinge step an image or greeting evenly down a card front and today’s technique, stamping an image in a ‘circle’ with each image evenly spaced.

I started with a 3-3/4″x 3-3/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock and placed it squarely on the Stamparatus. Using a pencil, I marked the centre of the card. This allowed me to position the flower image so that it can be stamped once on each of the four sides.

Then I rotated the card so that each of the four corners and the centre marks aligned. To make it more accurate each time I turned the card to each corner, I added some more pencil marks on the grid paper.

This technique can use even more images and will result in a wreath.

I used a Gray Granite card base for this project.

A piece of white vellum was used to emboss it with the Fern 3D Embossing Folder to create this gorgeous texture. I used Stampin’ Seal+ to adhere the vellum to the card front.

I cut a 2″ strip of one of the papers from the Sun Prints 12″x 12″ Designer Series Paper and threaded the paper through the banner die to create the shape at the bottom of the DSP strip. I discovered this idea in the new 2022 – 2023 Annual Catalogue.

The DSP strip had Stampin’ Dimensionals added to the back and then this was positioned on the card’s centre front. Then I attached two lengths of Gray Granite 1/4″ Shimmer Ribbon over the DSP.

Before adding the stamped Basic White layer, I used the Light and Dark Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends to colour the small inner flower buds.

I stamped and die cut one of the flowers and popped a dimensional under it. You can see from the slight shadow on the bottom right hand side where I placed the die cut flower.

I really like this new banner die. The shape is a great combination of curves, points and straight lines. The font combination in the sentiment is so lovely.

The final step was to colour some of the Polished Dots using the Dark Starry Sky Stampin’ Blends.

It is so much fun sharing projects featuring new products from the 2022 – 2023 Annual Catalogue. This is day 4 of a week long SNEAK PEEK at the Sun Prints Suite.

Tomorrow is the day I share projects for blog hops and challenges. I think I may have two to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.
