HOW TO MAKE A GIFT BOX OF NOTE CARDS

One of the amaznig new stamp sets, available from January 7th next year, is SHADOWED SHAPES.

It is a simply stunning set of two images and two greetings – perfect for creating notecards.

For this project I used only one of the images and both greetings.

The project comprises a gift box and six cards.

The Granny Apple Green gift box measures 6 5/8″x 4 3/4″x 1 1/4″.

After constructing the box base and lid I decorated the lid with layers of Basic White card and DSP panels. I used the Marbled Elegance 12″x 12″ Specialty DSP and the Brights 6″x 6″ DSP.

I stamped the strawberry image and cut it using one of the Everyday Arches Dies. The berries were coloured using the dark Melon Mambo Stampin’ Blend Pen and finished with Clear Wink of Stella.

A Granny Apple Green arch was also cut and then adhered behind the stamped arch.

I stamped the greeting and used a die from the Beautiful Butterflies Dies.

Before attaching the arches to the front of the box with Stampin’ Dimensionals, I secured a length of White Woven Ribbon. The ribbon was able to be wrapped around the box and tied in a bow.

The six cards and envelopes I placed inside the gift box include two each of three colour combinations – Granny Apple Green and Poppy Parade, Azure Afternoon and Melon Mambo, and Moody Mauve and Pebbled Path.

All cards were wrapped with white Baker’s Twine and tied in a bow.

Each card also had a ‘THANK YOU’ or ‘JUST A NOTE’ greeting stamped in a coordinating colour and was cut using the same Beautiful Butterflies Die.

The Granny Apple Green and Poppy Parade cards.

The Azure Afternoon and Melon Mambo cards.

The Moody Mauve and Pebble Path cards.

I think this box of cards would make a wonderful gift.

I found that being able to use different colour combinations was a wonderful feature of this stamp set.

Tomorrow I have a fun fold card to share with you, using the soon to be released SIMPLE BIRTHDAY STAMP SET.

Until then, happy stamping.
