Stampin’ Up! introduced two-tone cardstock recently.
This cardstock is two-tone meaning one side is the full-strength colour and the other side is a lighter version of the colour. Its ultrasmooth surface makes it an ideal paper for stamping, giving you clean, crisp images. It’s high quality, acid free, and lignin free, making it a favourite scrapbook paper, as well.
I used the Real Red and Garden Green Two-tone Cardstock for this project.
Because this cardstock has a white core, the surface colour can be lightly sanded to reveal the white. I used an emery board to sand the surface.
This week I will share a couple of projects using the Happy Hibiscus Bundle.
I cut a Basic Thick White panel and embossed it with the Happy Hibiscus Embossing Folder.
This panel was then added to a white card base and Real Red layer.
Then I used the Hybrid Embossing Folder with coordinating dies to emboss and cut the flowers. Using the emery board I was able to expose the white core.
USing one of the leaf dies, I cut several in the two shades of Garden Green.
The flowers and leaves were arranged on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop them up, adding some depth to the card.
Extra flowers and leaves were added to the inside of the card and the envelope back panel was stamped.
Finally, the greeting was stamped and cut using the round die from the bundle.
Now it’s time to go and think of something to create for tomorrow’s post. Wish me luck.
Until then, happy stamping.
