Hello! I’m back with a second project today. If you are popping by – thank you.
This week’s Global Design Project is a CASEing challenge.
This week, the Globel Design Team have given us this card by Steffi Helmschrott, one of their talented team members from Germany, to CASE.
This is my interpretation – I hope that you like it.
The first decision I made was to use the new Cork 12″x 12″ Specialty Paper. I cut a piece for the base layer on the card front and then, after attaching some Adhesive Sheet to another piece of the cork, cut the trees using the Inspiring Canopy Dies.
I water coloured the background sky using a Water Painter and Balmy Blue ink and a piece of Fluid 100 Water Colour Paper. The ink was touched onto an acrylic block and I mixed some Clear Wink of Stellar for some added glimmer.
When the water colouring was dry, I adhered the trees to the base layer. This was then attached to the Early Espresso card base. The thoughtful sentiment is from the Inspired Thoughts Stamp Set. It was stamped in Early Espresso and cut using one of the Stitched Rectangles Dies.
I trimmed down a piece of Paper Lattice to place behind the sentiment. Then I added some Stampin’ Dimensionals to lift it up from the base. I added strips of the cork to the card insert and envelope.
Finally, I addedthree of the new Brushed Metallic Adhesive-backed Dots to the card front. These cork and dots will be available from August 3.
It is always great to use existing and new products for new projects. This Cork Specialty Paper is going to be so popular … and, the Brushed Metallic Dots. I may need to add another order soon (oops, am I bad?).
When I need to send a condolensce card to someone, I am pleased that I have been able to make it myself.
Here’s to thoughtful and caring stamping.
If you live in Australia, you can order any of the products I used to make this card by going to my online store. Just click on any of the images below.
Because some of the products I have used to make this card are not yet available to customers, I am not able to show them at this time. As soon as product images go live, I will create this section.
