Hello to each of you lovely crafters who have floated by today.
Between now and May 4, when the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue goes live to customers, I will be making projects using Stampin’ Up!® that will not be carrying over. There are lots and lots of items from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogye that are retiring. There will also be products in the January -June Mini Catalogue that are not listed in the new catalogue index (so I am making the assumption that they will retire at the end of June). The good news is that the Mini Catalogue products are still available until then, while stocks last.
Today I chose the Floating and Fluttering Bundle.
I was inspired to stamp my own DSP by a Facebook Live that Sara Douglass did earlier in the week. She used the Floating and Fluttering Stamp Set as well.
I used Staz On ink to stamp the cluster of butterflies across a full sheet Shimmery White card stock. Then I was able to use my Water Painters to add colour to the butterflies. My colour choices were really a flight of fancy – Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green, Mango Mlody, Melon Mambo, Pacific Point and Rococo Rose. Once the card was dry, I cut a 5-5/8″x 4″ matt layer for the front of the card. Then I used the butterfly cluster die to cut two floating layers. I also die cut some individual butterflies. Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, these were all popped up over the stamped images on the mall layer.
The ‘Together Forever’ sentiment comes from the Forever & Always Stamp Set. I partially inked the ‘Forever &’ stamp so that only Forever had Memento Tuxedo Black ink on it.
To finish the card, I added some Playing with Patterns Resin Dots to the front of the card. I think I may need to go back and add a touch of Wink of Stella to the wings of the butterflies. What do you think?
Don’t forget to check the Last Chance Products Sale list and place an order quickly – all items listed are only available while stocks last.
Happy stamping.
