END OF SCHOOL YEAR

It is just four short weeks until the end of the 2020 school year here in Queensland.

Rob and I enjoyed a lovely three night, long weekend, getaway at Noosa Heads well ahead of the holiday craziness. Schoolies will inundate the Sunshine Coast this weekend, so we timed it perfectly.

I spent yesterday working on projects for this week’s posts. The first was a teacher appreciation card.

The HARVEST HELLOS STAMP SET is perfect for this.

I started by stamping the half apple image using my Stamparatus and the hinge step technique, as well as masking. If you have never done this before, I will have a technique video to share with you soon.

The other technique I used was mirror image stamping. I used my SILICONE CRAFT SHEET to stamp the image and then pressed my card stock onto the sheet. Then I aligned the stamp against the mirror image, to create an image of an apple sliced in half.

The STAMPIN’ WRITE MARKERS, in Garden Green and Poppy Parade, were used to colour the apple skins.

I fussy cut the apples, rather than punch them, because I didn’t want the white outline. However, I did punch out the stems and leaves.

A piece of Poppy Parade DSP, from the BRIGHTS 6″x 6″ DSP, was die cut and used behind the apples. The dies is from the ORNATE BORDERS DIES.

Twine, a touch of Wink of Stella and a punched out greeting finish this card.

Have you ever given an end of year card and gift to a teacher? If you’re a teacher, what has been your most treasured student gift?

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.

These are the products I used to make this card. If you live in Australia, you can order any of them through me.
