JANUARY FIRST, 20210 – HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone. I hope each of you had an amazing New Year’s Eve celebration with family and friends.
We spent the afternoon and evening celebrating with three other couples. There were games and shared food and laughter and memory sharing 9and maybe a few celebratory wines).
We saw the New Year in – and, we actually had a grown up’s sleepover.
The next morning, we enjoyed a hearty cooked breakfast and looked forward to another couple joining us. The ten of us all met in Bundaberg and watched as our babies grew into adults, enjoying group family holidays together.
Although some of us have moved away from Bundaberg and we may only catch up one or two times a year, as a group, we cherish it when we do.
One of the couples left early this morning so they could get to the airport to pick up their son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren who were able to travel and visit.
Later in the morning, the guys managed to play a few rounds of golf.
The weather forecast suggested it could be raining so, before we left home, I decided to pack up some card making supplies and a few of the June Sending Sunshine Paper Pumpkin Kits I had in my stash.
I was thrilled when the ‘girls’ decided that they would like to make some cards. We shared two kits between the four of us and we each left with four cards ready to spread some cheer in this new year. During 2020, I had one of these friends joining me for several long, slow classes at her sister’s house (a half way point for travel for each of us), so she was my ‘assistant’. The other two friends are relatively new to card making and they were very pleased with their creations.
We enjoyed about an hour of creativity before packing things away and moving on to the rest of the morning.
I was so pleased that I decided to take a card making bag of goodies with me – I didn’t kmow if we would have the opportunity – or if people would be interested. But, I offered the opportunity and we had a great time.
It was a really great way to start 2021 – creating together, supporting each other, chatting and having fun.
I am so pleased to share this as a personally satisfying benefit of joining Stampin’ Up!®.
I was able to share a creative experience with my friends – I LOVE what I do and SHARE what I love, as I help others ENJOY creativity and worthwhile accomplishments. In this, I make a difference. A personalised version of the Stampin’ Up!® Statement of the Heart.
Tomorrow, drop by for some information about what you can choose to do after joining.
