BEAUTIFUL BLOSSOMS

While I was planning this week’s projects, I glanced across my stamp sets and BLOSSOMS IN BLOOM jumped out as being a lttle neglectd of late. Of course, the MANY LAYERED BLOSSOMS DIES have been equally forgotten.

So, I made three cards.

The first one uses Whisper White card stock and ADHESIVE SHEETS. I die cut two of the large floral outlines. The first one was placed into the centre of the card front. Then I pressed parts of the second die cut around the outer areas to fill the space and trimmed it back.

I added a pop of colour by stamping the birthday greeting in Rococo Rose before die cutting it using my go to STITCHED RECTANGLES DIES.

The inside of the card and the front of the envelope were stamped with one of the single flowers.

For the second card I inked up the large floral stamp and spritzed it with some water, giving a water coloured effect.

I cut aother of the floral outline dies and positioned it over the stamped image. Then several of the single flowers were cut. the ADHESIVE SHEETS make it so easy secure the flowers without getting sticky fingers.

The inside of the card and the envelope front were stamped the same was as the first card.

The final card shares similarites with the first two, although definitely more colour this time.

The image was stamped using the Whisper White Craft Stampin’ Pad onto Rococo Rose card stock. The floral outline was die cut in the same colour. This time I only used one die cut flower, in Pretty Peacock.

I added some BUTTERFLY GEMS and stamped the greeting in Pretty Peacock. The final touch was to pop a piece of SCALLOPED LINEN RIBBON in the same gorgeous colour.

It was a nice way to spend the morning making these cards – using the same products in similar ways.

How do you enjoy your mornings?

MISSING YOU

Who do you miss at the moment?

There are so many family and friends that we haven’t been able to see, in person, for quite a while. And, we don’t know when we can.

For so many people the restrictions are even more isolating than it is for me.

I have a niece, living alone in Melbourne, who will soon be able to have one nominated visitor.

I’m in the process of putting together a care package for her, filled with goodies to enjoy. I am going to add this card so that she can send it to someone she misses.

I totally adore the LOYAL LEAVES STAMP SET. The shape and the details of the leaves are stunning.

For this card, I wanted to heat emboss the images using the clear STAMPIN’ EMBOSS POWDER before water colouring them.

And, as some of you may already know – I do not relish fussy cutting but this was worth it.

I think this was the first time I used the BRICK AND MORTAR 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER – I don’t know why, it’s fantastic and worked as a great background.

I hope Scout likes it and has someone special to send it to.

Who would you send a ‘missing you’ card to?

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.

CHOCOLATE CHEERS!

Some people like to cheered up with chocolate and flowers!

This little gift box combines both – JAR OF FLOWERS meets two mini boxes of Smarties.

I think that I am going to stamp and colour three more flower bundles to attach to the other jars.

Love that there are Highland Heather Smarties in the box!

I stamped the jar image four times, in Saddle Brown Staz On, onto a piece of 2020-2022 IN COLOUR 6×6″ DSP and used the JAR PUNCH to cut them out.

I cut a piece of Cinnamon Cider card stock 4 3/8″ square and scored it at 1 1/2″ along all four sides. The image below shows how I trimmed the tabs. You can also see that I had started to cut the base of the jar, before assembling the box.

It was fun making this small box of cheeriness.
