MORE PEACEFUL POPPIES …

I ‘fell in love’ with the PEACEFUL POPPIES SUITE from the moment I saw all the products, when I attended the Stampin’ Up!® On Stage Live event in Dortmund, Germany last November.

Being able to pre-order new products and attend events like On Stage Live are some of the amazing benefits of being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator. [If you ever wan to know more about the benefits … contact me and let me share them with you!]

SO … here are some of the cards I’ve made …

It’s so easy to forget to use vellum … but it is great when we do.
I’ve always loved angles other than 90 or 180.
Don’t forget our Stampin’ Blends are alcohol based and they are perfect for colourng Basic Pearls and Rhinestones.
A little layering and Dimensionals can create a great effect and layers.
I enjoyed using the stark contrast of the Whisper White against the Blueberry Bliss.
The heat embossed sentiment pops.
Using the COASTAL WEAVE 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER from the TROPICAL OASIS SUITE to dry emboss the vellum gave this card a little something extra. Weaving the die cut leaves also gave an extra point of interest … never stop experimenting.
…and this was the project for my first Coffee & Card class of 2020!

Tomorrow, I will share some images of the memory keeping pages I have done using this suite.

Thanks for stopping by … enjoy your stamping!

INSPIRATION

The ideas for all of our crafting projects come from different places … page after page of samples in our Stampin’ Up! ® catalogues, Pinterest, online images, blogs and Facebook … and, when the products inspire us, our own creativity steps in.

Recently, I watched a Facebook Live by Dawn Griffith from her Glitter Pit [Dawn’s Stamping Thoughts] as she made a Multipanel Accordion Card. Crafters and demonstrators generously share their creations and we have the opportunity to copy or adapt their ideas.

This is the card she made …

BIRTHDAY BONANZA SUITE

Taking the measurements she shared I was inspired to make this card … thanks Dawn!

I have been having a wonderful time using the Peaceful Poppies Suite for cards and some 3D projects.

When I saw the DSP (Designer Series Paper) I knew that I wanted to do some memory keeping (scrapbooking) of part of our 2008 trip to Europe. Rob and I spent some of that time exploring Belgium, mainly around Ypres and the World War I museums, battlefields and cemeteries. I’ll share some of those pages son.

Hope this inspires you … thanks for stopping by … enjoy your stamping!

FEBRUARY … LET THE FUN BEGIN!

After enjoying a long holiday break, it’s time to make true on my 2020 goals … I’ve already revamped my logo and had some banners made … but there is more on the list.

First … regular posts, featuring projects like this one. This is the card and gift project we will be making this Wednesday at Medley Cafe and Restaurant at Kangaroo Point (details about all my classes can be found in my calendar).

The products used for this class come from the new January through June Mini Catalogue.

The FROM MY HEART BUNDLE includes everything you can see in the image below. The bundle is $153.75 … remember, for every $90 you order you can choose FREE product from the SALE-A-BRATION catalogue.

Now that I’m settled into Brisbane, I will hold a stamp and paper crafting workshop starting once a month at the Bulimba Library. It will be held on the third Sunday of the month from 12pm until 4pm. The first workshop is on February 23rd in Meeting Room 1. More details on my calendar by the end of the week.
