MORNING STAR

Stamping my own background paper for this card was so much fun.

I used just three colours: pear pizzazz, rococo rose and smoky slate … and I am really pleased with the end result.

The stamp with the leaf elements, from the Morning Star stamp set, was used for the central focus of the card and then cut using one of the star dies.

Finally, the punched sentiment and some coloured rhinestones were used to complete the card.

I think recreating the background paper would be perfect to use the mini curvy keepsakes box die … tomorrow perhaps.

Thanks for dropping by … happy stamping.

LOVELY LILY PAD

This is the first time I have used the Lovely Lily Pad products I earned from Sale-a-bration: the stamp set, Lily Pad Dies and coordinating Lily Impressions DSP.

I really like the connected tear drops die (that’s the best way I can think to describe it). Most of this card involves die cutting, with only one stamped image and a thin strip of the DSP.

I carried over the die cut ‘tears’ and DSP strip to quickly create a coordinating gift box.

Tell me what you think …

Thanks for dropping by … happy stamping.

POPPY GIFT BOX

I imagine this could make a perfect box for a graduation gift.

It has been a long time since I’ve used the Parcels and Petals Bundle (AC p.27) … so, out it came to be combined with the Peaceful Moments Bundle.

I wanted to use some of the So Very Vellum for the floral accents and belly band … a subtle and elegant combination of colours – purple posy and soft sea foam.

Some simple stamping on the box and tag; followed by building the flowers and wrapping the belly band.

Put it all together … the end result.

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.
