TIME FOR A BREAK

After yesterday’s RISE & SHINE coffee break project, I thought the idea of more relaxation is always a good idea.

Inspired by projects by Athena Sanderson and Jessica Bugden, I wanted to make a hawaiian shirt card using the TROPICAL OASIS SUITE.

The shirt is half the size of the original inspiration, using a piece of DSP cut to 3″x5″.

The COASTAL WEAVE 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER has to be my favourite. I love the texture it gives.

Add some braided burlap; die cut, coloured flowers and coloured embellishments to give a card that final touch.

Thanks for dropping by … happy stamping.

SALE-A-BRATION SECOND RELEASE

Starting tomorrow, for the remainder of Sale-a-bration, there is a new range of free products you can choose from with a qualifying order – Level 1 items with a $90 order or Level 2 items with a $180 order (Australia).

For this project, a small gift box, I used the reversible RISE & SHINE photopolymer stamp set (a Level 2 product) and the coordinating CUP OF CHEER DIES.

I like to use the Clear Tiny Treat Boxes as a base for gift boxes. It is so easy to create a wrap around for the outside of the box.

For this box I simply cut a 2″ length of Whisper White cardstock and wrapped it around the box, pinching and scoring for a snug fit.

Stamping and die cutting the mugs was quick and easy. As you can see, I have only used two colours – Pretty Peacock and Terracotta Tile.

The Braided Burlap Trim adds great texture to the project.

BEAUTIFUL MOMENTS

As a mother, of two gorgeous daughters, now 29 and 25; Jacque Williams’ 1,000,000 Sales Achiever Stamp Set resonated with me.

For this card, I decided to focus on the image of the single woman for a Mothers’ Day card … yes, I know … a bit early.

Combining this water coloured image with the Heirloom Frames Dies and 3D Embossing Folders resulted in a ‘portrait’ that is ‘hung’ on a textured ‘wallpaper wall’.

The frame has been enhanced with a generous application of Clear Wink of Stella.

I think my mother would have liked this card … my plan is to give this to my sister-in-law for her mother, Linda.

I used the ‘no line colouring’ technique for water colouring this image.

Thanks for dropping by … happy stamping.
