WHAT HAVE I BEEN DOING?

My last post was on Thursday but I have been mighty busy.

I spent Friday gathering together all my projects ready for the Dockside Markets that I had a stall at. Friday afternoon, I was able to bump in – erect my marque and get the tables set up. My eldest daughter was there to help me.

Saturday morning, I was up at 4.45am and arrived at the markets at 5.30 to finish setting up. My youngest daughter arrived at 6am, with her partner, to help me.

I am so lucky to have two helpful and supportive daughters.

And, we were open for business at 7!

I was so happy with how the stall looked – all white with flecks of gold. The butler’s trays at the front were perfect.

There a whole table dedicated to Christmas, with lots of Secret Santa goodies.

There were lots of other cards, gift bags and boxes.

The bags were a great way to use up retired DSP. The desktop calendars and post it note ‘cards’ are another.

The days were hot and steamy but successful

The next market will be Dockside Twilight Markets at Kangaroo Point in the 17th December from 4pm – 51 Darragh St. If you live in Brisbane, I hope that you pop by and say hello.

Happy stamping!

DISPLAYING YOUR CHRISTMAS CARDS

How do you display your Christmas cards when they arrive? There are so many different ways to do this.

What to Do With Christmas Cards: Creative Displays | Reader's Digest

Thinking about this became the inspiration for this card. And, it gave me the opportunity to use my ALL WIRED UP STAMP SET for the first time.

I wanted to use this stamp to create a wore frame that I could ‘peg’ cards on to.

I used Staz On to stamp the wire image onto some vellum and then adhered it to a piece of CLASSIC CHRISTMAS 6″x 6″ DSP, using some STAMPIN’ SEAL+.

The three mini cards were made using Sahara Sand cardstock cut to 1.5″ by 1.75″. They were then stamped with some of the images and greetings from the FESTIVE POST STAMP SET. I used REAL RED and SHADED SPRUCE for this card.

The little ‘pegs’ used to hold the cards onto the wire were made by punching out the slit shape using the LABEL ME FANCY PUNCH. Each tiny piece of EARLY ESPRESSO cardstock was folded roughly in half and a mini glue dot used to attach to the top of each card.

With the greetings – Merry Christmas, Enjoy the Season and To You and Yours – no other Christmas message is needed on the front of the card.

How do you like my mini card display card?

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.

A CURVY FALL

Although it is SPRING in Australia, it is FALL (Autumn) in the Northern hemisphere.

So, while I am excited to be planning to make lots of colourful Spring projects, I am also creating Autumn/Fall inspired projects.

For this card I used the limited release QUITE CURVY VARIETY BUNDLE. Demonstrators are able to order it during the month of October and it will be available to customers between November 3, 2020 and January 4, 2021.

For this card, I used the second stamp set in this bundle. I chose the leaves stamp and stamped it onto FLUID 100 WATER COLOUR PAPER, using SADDLE BROWN STAZON and then water coloured the image using Crushed Curry, Pretty Peacock, Pumpkin Pie, Shaded Spruce and Terracotta Tile. This leaf garland was then die cut.

I also stamped and water coloured the three birds, using Crushed Curry and Terracotta Tile.

Each of these water coloured images then had CLEAR WINK OF STELLAR liberally applied.

The card front was created using the CURVY DIES and the space was created with a piece of VELLUM.

‘HOORAY FOR YOU’ was stamped onto the Cajun Craze card stock using the inkpad of the same colour.

The final touch was the five thread bow.

I really love adding Wink of Stellar to my projects … what do you think?

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.

Although I am unable to display the stamp set and dies from this early release bundle, these are the other products used.
