TIME FOR SOME MORE COLOUR INKSPIRATION!

Hello – thank you for popping by. I really appreciate the time you take to see what I have been creating.

Today is the end of the two week period for the #CI95 Colour Inkspiration Challenge.

No photo description available.

This is the amazing inspiration this time around!

For this challenge I decided to use the BUTTERFLY BRILLIANCE COLLECTION. I especially wanted to use the bricks die to create spaces for the three purple colours to pop through.

The butterfly has three layers, all cut with the same die from the BRILLIANT WINGS DIES. The top and bottom layer were cut from vellum and the middle layer from a scrap of Balmy Bay card stock. I stamped the edges of the wings with Versamark before adding and heating some HEAT & STICK POWDER, so that I could adhere GILDED LEAFING EMBELLISHMENT.

I used the bricks to cut six areas, on a Basic Black mat, so that I could adhere strips of Blackberry Bliss, Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather behind the mat layer. This was then attached to a Basic Black card base.

The sentiment is from the YOU ARE AMAZING STAMP SET. The ‘you are’ was covered with a sticky note so that when the ink pad was used those words were left clean. The sticky note was removed and the sentiment stamped onto a scrpa of Balmy Blue card stock. Then it was cut using a STITCHED RECTANGLE DIE.

To assemble the card, I used Mini Glue Dots to hold the GOLD HOOPS EMBELLISHMENT in place before placing the sentiment onto the card front. The sentiment was popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut a strip from the side of the Stampin’ Dimensionals sheet to place under the centre of the butterfly. And finally, some GILDED GEMS to make sure there was a little bling.

My card is certainly much darker than the original image inspiration but I like it.

Who would you send a card, that says ‘Amazing’, to?

Happy stamping.

TREATS FOR MY SWEET

Hello to each of you who pop in to see my projects today – yes, I have more than one to share today.

I am sharing these projects for this week’s Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop because the theme is TREATS FOR MY SWEET and the brief is to make a 3D project.

May be an image of coffee cup and text that says 'Freshly Brewed PROJECTS'

I used the VALENTINE KEEPSAKE STAMP SET.

My first gift box was made using the MINI CURVY KEEPSAKES BOX DIE. At first I cut out a heart using the small scalloped one from the STITCHED BE MINE DIES. Then I stamped the heart flowers image using Versamark and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on three sides of the box.

The RESIN HEARTS from the SNAIL MAIL SUITE are perfect for these projects.

I also used the white embossing powder for the ‘Be Mine’ sentiment and cut it using one of the STITCHED RECTANGLE DIES. After punching holes in this piece and the heart, I tied them using some of the white twine from the SNAIL MAIL TWINE COMBO PACK.

The white flowers look so beautiful against the Poppy Parade card stock. Perfect Valentine’s Day colours.

The “You Have My Heart’ sentiment looks great cut this way – the square die from the MINI CURVY KEEPSAKES DIES. And, the single heart from the HEART CHARMS (LOVE YOU ALWAYS SUITE) is a lovely touch for this gift box.

The second mini curvy keepsakes box was stamped using the rows of hearts image – Poppy Parade on Poppy Parade.

My next gift box was custom designed to coordinate with the heart panels that i made. I used my Stamparatus to stamp the images and then, after cleaning the stamp, I restamped the image using Versamark so that I could heat emboss the hearts with Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder. This gave the hearts a glossy sheen.

Then I cut the panels using one of squares from the STITCHED SHAPES DIES.

I used a smaller one of the squares dies to cut the Poppy Parade sentiment panel.

The STITCHED BE MINE DIES were used again – this time to cut out the detailed heart that is on top of the box. I placed ADHESIVE SHEETS behing the Basic White card stock first – much better than getting sticky fingers placing Multipurpose Glue on the back.

I cut three lengths of the White Twine, as used earlier, and coloured one strand using the Dark Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blend Marker. The triple bow was then secured with a Mini Glue Dot.

And, in keeping with all things Valentine – red-wrapped chocolates, for someone sweet.

For my last project, I adapted the gift bag (inspired by Ronda Wade) to make this little 3″x 3-1/2″x 1-1/2″ treat holder. I used two sheets of Poppy Parade 6″x 6″ DSP that will be released in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue later in the year. The bundle of five DSP packs are a gift for those who join Stampin’ Up!® during Sale-a-bration. I definitely like using the CLEVER CLASPS in my projects.

JOINING ANOTHER BLOG HOP

Hello again to those who have popped by for another peek at my crafting progress. If you are new, welcome.

One of my goals in 2020, was to post on my website more regularly, aiming for every day. I came close. In 2021, want to improve on this and also use my other social media platforms more often as well.

Another key goal for 2021 is to participate in blog hops regularly. I have scheduled some blogs into my planner and have been enjoying this challenge.

I have added Kylie Bertucci’s monthly International Blog Highlights to my schedule.

May be an image of one or more people and text that says 'KYLIE BERTUCCI'S Monthly International Blog HIGHLIGHTS GALLERY'

The ongoing theme for this blog hop is THANK YOU. I really like this theme, while it might seem like the idea of thanking someone is unfashionable, it is alive and well and needs to be modelled for others. If I send someone a thank you card, that is a prompt for them to remember to thank others for what they appreciate.

This is the card I made for the February 2021 Blog Highlights – an image of my card is posted on Kylie’s gallery.

This gallery features everyone’s submissions and gives you the opportunity to vote for up to 5 of your favourite cards. The top 10 vote winners then get to participate in an International Blog Hop. Would you consider taking a moment and voting for my card? I’d really appreciate it!

How to do Voting?
Once you click on the link below you can see the photos. Please look for my pretty Hydrangea card (#4) and click on the little heart sign on the right-hand top side of my photo. Once you’ve touched the little clear heart it will turn to Red Color and that is the notification that you voted. You can vote for up to five, but it’s not required, you can also just vote for one. Thanks so much!

I took the idea of adding extra vellum single flowers, from yesterday’s card, and amped it up for this one.

I cut lots of vellum flowers and also cut flowers from some of the DSP I chose for this card.

There wasn’t much stamping on this card but lots of lovely Stampin’ Up!® paper and colour.

The texture that was achieved by adding all of the individual flowers is even better than I hoped for. i used quite a few Mini Glue Dots getting these flowers attached.

That’s the last of the hydrangea cards for the moment. Onto different ideas and products.

Happy stamping.
