HELLO GIFT BOX

This project has been brewing in my mind for a while.

When I first saw the detailed FIELD TILES DIES, especially the elaborate design of my chosen die, I began seeing this gift box.

After contemplating, measuring and planning, I started!

This was going to be a 3″ cube gift box.

I cut five pieces of Night of Navy card stock, measuring 3″x 3″. I did the same with some adhesive sheets and placed them on one side of the square pieces.

And then I used my new STAMPIN’ CUT & EMBOSS MACHINE and the totally brilliant MAGNETIC CUTTING PLATE! It took just one pass through the machine to perfectly cut the pieces!!!!!

FIELD TILES DIES
I used the die – bottom left.

The combination of BUMBLEBEE and NIGHT OF NAVY is striking.

The design of the die means that on each side the alignment of the elements is simply stunning.

The ribbon, that is part of this medley, is a grosgrain with soft, ‘frayed’ edges.

The sentiment, from the TODAY’S TILES STAMP SET, is great for an any time gift.

And, last but not least, some Night of Navy HOLIDAY RHINESTONE BASIC JEWELS to add a touch of bling.

What do you think?

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.

These are the amazing products I used to make this gift box. If you live in Australia, you can order any of them through me.

COLOUR CHALLENGE

A little while ago, I shared a card that I made for a colour challenge.

I find it’s a great way to work with different colour combinations – especially if they are not your ‘go to’ colours.

This was the Inkspiration for CI#80. Not my usual palette, but so pretty!

So this is my ‘entry’.

I thought the TODAY’S TILES STAMP SET was an interesting way to showcase the colours without choosing a floral stamp and colouring.

And the TASTEFUL TEXTILE 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER is becoming one of my favourites!

I stamped several times using different colour combinations, then cut strips before popping each strip up onto dimensionals. The three Purple Posy tiles were achieved by using my Stampin’ Write Marker™.

I’m looking forward to inking up some of my ink spots in different colours to make some more cards.

Let me know what you think?

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.
