I HAVE A NEW SLIMLINE CARD TO SHARE TODAY

This slimline card was made for this week’s Global Design Project challenge featuring flowers.

The Tea Boutique Suite has some floral stamps and dies that I thought would be perfect for this week’s theme.

I die cut and embossed lots of flowers for the card. The colours for the flowers are Crushed Curry, Fresh Freesia, Orchid Oasis and Sweet Sorbet. The splatters folder from the Stripes & Splatters 3D Ebmossing Folder bundle was used to add texture to the flowers.

The tea cup was cut from one of the papers from the Tea Boutique 6″x 6″ Designer Series Paper. I added stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the cup and placed it on the card to make it appear as if it was pouring out the flowers.

The flowers were added to the card using Multipurpose Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals. From the top they look to be slowly spilling out from the cup and as they get to the bottom of the card, they begin to pile up.

The greeting, from the Cup of Tea stamp set, was stamped in Fresh Freesia on to a small piece of Basic White cardstock.

The Fresh Freesia gem from the 2021 – 2023 In Colour Gems is perfect for this card.

This was a fun card to make – I hope you like it. I have another card to share later today.

Tomorrow is 3D Thursday and I have a cute little box to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.

TODAY’S TECHNIQUE IS CREATING YOUR OWN DESIGNER SERIES PAPER

This week I am featuring the Tea Boutique Suite. There are lots of lovely flower and leaf images in the Cup of Tea Stamp Set, perfect for stamping your own background paper.

I chose two different floral images and one large leaf image from the set.

The first step was to stamp the leaf several times using Parakeet Party. I rotated the leaf each time I stamped giving good coverage across the panel of Basic White cardstock.

Then I used Crushed Curry, Orchid Oasis and Sweet Sorbet to stamp the floral images across the white panel. This is such a quick and easy way to create your own background design. I also stamped one of the flowers on the card insert and envelope.

The greeting, from the Cup of Tea stamp set, was stamped before being cut using one of the new Stylish Shapes Dies. This was placed on the front of the card using Stamping Dimensionals.

There are stitched squares, circles and banners in this set.

A piece of Adhesive Sheet was attached to the back of some Parakeet Party before cutting the leaf overlay tea cup. Then a solid tea cup was cut from Orchid Oasis cardstock. The green overlay piece was positioned precisely over the solid cup. I added dimensionals to the back of the cup and placed it above the greeting.

I die cut some of the flowers and ‘poured’ them into the cup, using dimensionals.

A length each of Orchid Oasis and Parakeet Party Metalic Woven Ribbon were tied into a bow and added to the front of the card.

Tomorrow is the day to share any projects I have made for blog hops or challenges.

Until then, happy stamping.

MEMORIES ON MONDAY – WHAT WILL THEY BE?

When I thought about what occasion I could keep the memories of, using the Tea Boutique Suite with, I immediately thought of my friend Helen.

Her birthday is December 25, so for many years she and her three sisters have celebrated a few days earlier. They book into a hotel in the city for a couple of nights and enjoy shopping , a High Tea at Keri Craig Emporium and dining out.

50%OFF Keri Craig Emporium deals, reviews, coupons, discounts

I created this one page layout to give to her to add some photos from her most recent High Tea.

The layout uses a 12″x 12″ Tahitian Tide cardstock for the base.

I used two pieces of the teapots paper, from the Tea Boutique 6″x 6″ Designer Series Paper, and cut 1-1/2″ strips vertically and horizontally to create the outer borders.

Then I added Adhesive Sheets to the back of a small piece of Sweet Sorbet cardstock. The, soon to retire, Playful Alphabet Dies were used to make the title for this page.

Using five different geometric monochromatic designs, I cut two teacups from each deign. The cups were then stacked inside each other before placing them on the page.

Finally, I added three Basic White rectangles for photos and journaling.

The designs , in the DSP bundle, are bright and vibrant.

It’s Technique Tuesday tomorrow and I think I am going to use the stamps to create my own designer paper for a card.

Until then, happy stamping.
