IT’S TIME TO HAVE A LOOK AT TWO VERSIONS OF A FUNFOLD CARD

The cards I have to share with you today are versions of a Diagonal Double Fold card.

These are the last two projects featuring the Tea Boutique Suite. The Designer Series Paper is so pretty.

The Starry Sky card base was cut, as shown below, to create the two diagonal flaps. I took two different DSP designs and cut them for the front of the card.

The striped tea cup, leaves and teabag tag were stamped and die cut. I added dimensionals to the back of the cup leaving a small area overlapping the top flap, creating a ‘latch’ to hold it closed.

The second card has a slightly different closure.

The first card has a split front that completely covers the inside of the card. The second reveals an area from inside of the card.

Both cards feature the DSP and a stamped and die cut teacup with leaves and tag.

By simply cutting the top flap in opposite ways I achieved these two cards.

It has been very enjoyable making my projects this week, featuring the new Tea Boutique Suite.

Tomorrow I will start using a different collection of new products.

Until then, happy stamping.

3D THURSDAY & TIME FOR A CUTE TEA BAG HOLDER

A quick post today as there are a few things on my list to get done.

As I am featuring the Tea Boutique Suite this week I thought that a tea and biscuit gift pouch would be a great project to share.

After taking the measurements needed to make the pouch, I mapped out my layout and started cutting and scoring the sheet of Sweet Sorber A4 card stock.

I cut this DSP design into three panels – a large one for both the front and back, and then a smaller strip for the pouch topper. Before I glued the topper piece down, I attached a length of the Starry Sky Metallic Woven Ribbon to the flap and then secured it with the DSP.

The two sides were scored down the centre to allow the top of the pouch to come together more readily.

I stamped and die cut the three tea bag labels and placed them on the front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

It was quick and easy to just slide the tea bag and biscuit packs into the pouch and tie the bow.

Super cute and very easy to make.

Tomorrow, I hope to have a fun fold card to share.

Until the, happy stamping.

ANOTHER WONDERFUL CARD THIS WEDNESDAY

I hope this makes you laugh as much as it did me. I was sure that this week’s theme for the Freshly Brewed Project Blog Hop was paper piecing.

Fantastic, I thought. The bundle that I am featuring this week is perfect for this theme.

I feverishly die cut three tea cups in three different colours in both the solid and outline dies. Then I went to work carefully placing the outline frame, with adhesive sheet behind it, onto a Basic White tea cup.

Then I placed the pieces into the white spaces.

When they were all completed, I positioned them on a narrower piece of Basic White cardstock.

I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of this piece and centred it on the card front.

I used the Dark Orchid Oasis Stampin’ Blend to colour some of the Elegant Faceted Gems and added them to the card front.

The sentiment was stamped, trimmed down and added to the card.

After I finished the card I checked the Freshly Brewed Project Crew Facebook group and realised that I did get my days wrong. Oops!

You can laugh or cry when something like this happens – I chose laughter.

3D Thursday tomorrow and I have a cute tea bag holder to share.

Until then, happy stamping.
