I have, for a while now, had an idea floating around in head for using the Paper Lattice. The idea involves cutting and layering the lattice to create some structural interest
I chose a Basic White card base and embossed a piece of Soft Succulent for the Stitched Greenery die cut layer.
The lattice was then layered up with a full lattice panel as the base. The following six layers had sections cut away before being added.
The branch from the Birds & More Dies was used to cut some branches from Soft Succulent Cotton Paper. These were then attached to the top of the lattice using Mini Glue Dots.
The flowers were stamped using the Flowers of Friendship Stamp Set and Fresh Freesia ink on the same coloured card stock. I used the Flowers & Leaves Punch to cut the small flower. After giving these flowers a bit of a bend they were then secured across the card front.
The sentiment is from the Flowers of Friendship Stamp Set and was stamped in Fresh Freesia ink. After being trimmed down to size, it was popped up using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The bow was made from a length of Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon that was cut in half, looped and then tied securely with gold Simply Elegant Trim.
Finally, I added some of the Bumblebee Trinkets across the card front.
I was pleased to ‘dust off’ the Flowers of Friendship Stamp Set and the Flowers & Leaves Punch – I have not used them for so long.
The idea of cutting and layering the lattice looks even better than I anticipated. What do you think?
