IT’S WEDNESDAY AND I HAVE THREE GREAT CARD POSTS TO SHARE WITH YOU TODAY

The first card is for the Global Design Project #GDP335 challenge and the theme this week is Rain/Rainbow. Make sure that you click on the image below to go to the Global Design Project site to see all the amazing projects this design team has created.

My added constraint, each Wednesday, is that I feature a specific product collection or bundle. So to work with the challenge or blog hop, I am participating in, I will bring in other items to link them.

I decided to make a double rainbow slimline card – rainbow colours and rainbow shapes.

I am so pleased with the way this card turned out.

The Slim Card Dies were perfect for this this white on white card background. The card front measures 8-3/4″x 3-3/4″. I die cut four pieces of Basic White cardstock and adhered the layers together. When glued on the card front, they add great depth to the card.

Then I used one of the Brilliant Rainbow Dies to cut these shapes in rainbow inspired colours – Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight,Granny Apple Green, Pacific Point, Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather.

The sentiment, from the Here Together Stamp Set, was stamped on the Highland Heather rainbow piece.

The rainbow shapes were then adhered to the front of the card, overlapping at different angles.

I stamped the “heart hands” and cut them with the coordinating Here For You Dies die. Stampin’ Dimensionals were popped underneath the hands and this piece was then centred on the card front.

I added a single Pumpkin Pie jewel, from the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels pack, inside the hands.

The inside of the card and envelope are stamped with one of the Rainbow of Happiness stamps.

Card one of three projects today – I hope you drop by again to see the other two.

Until then, happy stamping.

A BIG THANK YOU CARD

Hello and welcome to each of you. Thanks for popping by to see what I’ve been up to.

Today I wanted to share a ‘slimline’ card that I’ve made. Don’t be mistaken in thinking that it’s a small card; it’s actually 8-1/2″ long and 4″ wide. I made it this size so that I could use the new Thanks and Hello Embossing Folder and the Biggest Wish Stamp Set.

I used my Stamparatus to stamp the large ‘thanks’ greeting around all four corners of the card. The embossed panel was made by using the folder to emboss all three cardstock colours. These were then cut into pieces that allowed me to overlay and adhere each of them at 2″ intervals.

The tricolour panel was popped up over the centre of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then I used a length of the Real Red Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, from the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack, to tie a bow. I did think about adding some Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels but then thought it might be too much – what do you think?

The Biggest Wish Stamp Set is going to be so versatile. I love the combination of the big, bold upper case font and the lovely, looping lower case font in this set. I’m looking forward to creating some more projects using it.

Is this set on your wishlist? How would you use it?

Happy stamping.

ANOTHER BRILLIANT BLOG HOP

Hello – welcome – and I am so delighted that you have popped by.

My post today is for a unique blog hop that features the Butterfly Bouquet and the Butterfly Brilliance Collection.

Thank you for joining us for our special Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Training Program Blog Hop! We are so happy that you could join us today for this blog hop for ideas and creative inspiration. We are a group of Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from around the world that are taking part in training that is helping us to build a successful Stampin’ Up!® business and reach some goals we have set. We really appreciate your support.

I have thoroughly enjoyed making many projects using this beautiful collection. For this blog hop, I have made a new slimline card.

I started by choosing three of the colours that have been used in the Butterfly Bijou 6″x 6″ Designer Series Paper – Calypso Coral, Just Jade and Misty Moonlight. I also used the Natural Touch Specialty Paper. I stamped the collection of butterflies image onto pieces of the card stock and die cut them using the Brilliant Wings Dies – I now heaps of butterflies ready for other projects. Then I die cut three of the largest detailed butterflies in vellum. These vellum butterflies were then painted with Wink of Stella for some added glimmer.

The ‘thank you’ greeting is from the Best Year Stamp Set. I used my Stamparatus to stamp it. This gave me the opportunity to mask the lower half of the sentiment (‘for all that you are’) using tape. I inked up the greeting using Jet Black Staz On ink and stamped the vellum. Because I was using my Stamparatus, I was able to repeat the stamping until I was happy with the application of colour.

I thought about adding some embellishments to the card front but decided not to. Sometimes it is better to be a little understated. This is an elegant thank you card. What do you think? Who would give it to?

There will lots of other Butterfly Brilliance inspired thank you cards, made by demonstrators from around the world. Check them out and get some great ideas for your own cards. I hope you enjoy hopping.

Happy stamping.
