#GDP348 IS A CASE CHALLENGE

For this week’s challenge, I decided to copy the layout and edit the colours and products. I am featuring the Texture Chic Suite this week and my goal is to bring the products and the challenge together.

CASE = Copy And Selectively Edit

I hope you let me know how well you think I achieved this goal.

As I copied the elements of the layout, I was very pleased by the way each of the layers came together – Petal Pink card base, DSP, Soft Suede layer, Basic White layer and a 2-1/4″ square of DSP.

Then I stamped the Petal Pink floral image and stamped the Soft Suede detailed image before cutting the three flowers using the coordinating die.

I added three die cut floral elements to the pink flowers.

Each flower was given a little bit of a ‘scrunch’ before I placed a Stampin’ Dimensional to the back and adding it to the DSP square.

The final step was to stamp the greeting on the front and the floral outline on the card insert and envelope.

I am so happy with the way this card looks. What do you think?

A little later today I will share my Colour INKspiration project.

Until then, happy stamping.

TUESDAY IS ALL ABOUT TECHNIQUES

Today’s technique is inspired by the amazing Frenchie Stamps. It is the Peel Back Technique and I love it!

THis is the card that Frenchie shared and convinced me to give the technique a try.

May be art of outdoors and palm trees

This week I am featuring the Texture Chic Suite and used some of the Designer Series Paper for the peeled back reveal.

Instead of stamping on the DSP, I stamped some of the leaf images across the Basic White panel.

My first step was the create the peeled back section on the white panel.

After peeling back the cardstock I cut away half of the section to reduce the size of the scroll.

To secure the rolled back scroll, I used Multipurpose Glue.

The next step was to stamp the leaf images in Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen and Mango Melody.

I stamped the sentiment and cut it using one of the Stylish Shapes Dies. A piece of the DSP was cut with a larger die from the same set. I trimmed the top edges, at different angles, to layer them on the card front.

To finish the card, I die cut a leaf outline and added it to the card.

I can think of so many ways to use this new technique and look forward to using it again and again.

Tomorrow I have two projects for you. One is for the Global DEsign Project challenge and the other for the Colour INKspiration Crew projects.

Until then, happy stamping.
