MEMORIES ON MONDAY – WHAT WILL THEY BE?

When I thought about what occasion I could keep the memories of, using the Tea Boutique Suite with, I immediately thought of my friend Helen.

Her birthday is December 25, so for many years she and her three sisters have celebrated a few days earlier. They book into a hotel in the city for a couple of nights and enjoy shopping , a High Tea at Keri Craig Emporium and dining out.

I created this one page layout to give to her to add some photos from her most recent High Tea.

The layout uses a 12″x 12″ Tahitian Tide cardstock for the base.

I used two pieces of the teapots paper, from the Tea Boutique 6″x 6″ Designer Series Paper, and cut 1-1/2″ strips vertically and horizontally to create the outer borders.

Then I added Adhesive Sheets to the back of a small piece of Sweet Sorbet cardstock. The, soon to retire, Playful Alphabet Dies were used to make the title for this page.

Using five different geometric monochromatic designs, I cut two teacups from each deign. The cups were then stacked inside each other before placing them on the page.

Finally, I added three Basic White rectangles for photos and journaling.

The designs , in the DSP bundle, are bright and vibrant.

It’s Technique Tuesday tomorrow and I think I am going to use the stamps to create my own designer paper for a card.

Until then, happy stamping.

TODAY IS MONDAY & IT’S TIME TO SHARE A MEMORY KEEPING IDEA

Mondays are for memories and memory keeping. I haven’t chosen photos for this layout yet, but I do have some ideas.

My layout today features the Gumball Greetings Bundle, along with some of the Sweet Talk 12″x 12″ Designer Series Paper.

The base layer is Highland Heather. I cut a 4-1/2″ strip of this DSP design and centred it on the base layer.

Then I added two Basic White photo matts – one is for a 6″x 4″ photo and the other is for a 4″x 4″ photo.

The title for this layout may be the last time I use my favourite Playful Alphabet Dies. Adding Adhesive Sheets to the back of the cardstock makes it so easy to secure the title to the page.

I stamped and die cut several large and small gumball machines. One large machine and three smaller ones were added to the first page.

The second page is close to being a mirror image.

This page has the same base layer, a 4-1/2″ strip of DSP and two Basic White photo matts.

I added a second layer of coordinating DSP measuring 9-1/2″x 4-1/2″.

Finally, I added the remaining gumball machines.

Now I just need to find some gorgeous photos of my daughters or nieces to place on the matt layers.

I love the Gumball Greetings Bundle. It is so much fun. It would work well with the Your Biggest Fan Collection.

The Gumball Greetings Bundle and the Sweet Talk DSP worked so well together. Another reason I love creating with Stampin’ Up!® products is that coordination across product bundles and collections is endless.

Tomorrow is Technique Tuesday and I will sharing some ideas using layering and a new product.

Until then, happy stamping.

TIME TO SHARE SOME MORE MEMORIES

Another Monday rolls around and it’s time to share another scrapbook layout. Today’s memories were made in Singapore in 2019 on the homeward bound leg of our two month journey through Eastern Europe.

At first I wasn’t sure that I had any photos that would suit the Cactus Cuties Stamp Set and Cactus Builder Punch. Then I remembered our visit to Gardens by the Bay. In the Flower Dome there is an amazing display of aloes, succulents and cactii.

For the first page I used a Basic White 12″x 12″ sheet of cardstock and a piece of Just Jade cardstock. I chose the brick design from the Bloom Where You’re Planted 12″x 12″ Designer Series Paper.

After positioning the photos on this page, I stamped and fussy cut/punched the pots and cactii. These were glued down using Multi Purpose Glue.

I added a small amount a journaling over the bricks.

This area of the garden is titled ‘Aloes in Wonderland’ and has a number of ‘Alice in Wonderland’ statues interspersed among the plants. I thought this was such a clever play on words. Isn’t Alice cute?

This page is almost a mirror image of the first. Instead of using Just Jade cardstock I chose the timber plank design from the same DSP collection. After cutting three 1″ strips of Cinnamon Cider cardstock across the timber paper.

The next collection of photos were added and more pots and cactii to decorate the page.

The White Rabbit looks very dapper in his jacket, checking his pocket watch.

I love all the vibrant greens that are on display in this garden.

Tomorrow is Technique Tuesday – so I’m off to decide which one to share.

Until then, happy stamping.
