A LITTLE BOX OF GOODIES

On Monday, I shared a card I made using the ROOTED IN NATURE STAMP SET and coordinating NATURE’S ROOTS DIES. I had lots of stamped, die cut and embossed leaves left over so I used them for a little box of goodies.

The ACETATE CARD BOXES are great for packaging 3″x 3″ cards and envelopes, but they can also be used to package up treats for friends, family or colleagues.

It is quick and easy to make a belly band to wrap around the box.

The new STAMPIN’ SEAL PLUS is perfect to use because it is so strong, so it ensures the band won’t come apart.

One of my favourite greetings is this one – BE STRONG, BE HAPPY, BE YOU”.

As you can see, these sweet treats fit easily into the box.

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.

These are the products I used to make this project. If you live in Australia, you can order any of them through me.

YOU ARE WONDERFUL

Oops … I haven’t posted since last Friday. I even missed World Card Making Day.

I enjoyed a wonderful day on Thursday helping two friends making their Christmas gift tags using the TAG BUFFET PROJECT KIT.

Then, on Friday, I started teaching one of those friends how to sew. Her goal was to do what her mother had done – make Christmas dresses and shorts for her grandchildren. We went shopping two days earlier and she bought a sewing machine and what she needed to make two dresses and two pairs of shorts.

We have spent two hours together on Friday, Saturday and today as I showed her what to do. After each session she had ‘homework’ to do. At the end of today’s ‘lesson’, Judy had both dresses and one pair of shorts finished and she will finish the second pair later this afternoon.

It was wonderful to be able to help someone achieve their goal successfully!

So, after I arrived home, I made this card so that I could share it with you.

Alongside Christmas and end of school year teacher cards and gifts, I am trying to go back and use stamp sets that have been sitting on my shelf for too long.

Today was time to dust off the ROOTED IN NATURE and NATURE’S ROOTS DIES. No fancy background today – stamping in a hurry.

I began by stamping and cutting the leaves using the colour ink on cardstock. The leaves were then embossed using the TASTEFU TEXTILE 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER.

The tree cross section was stamped onto the card front before finding where I wanted the GOLD HOOP EMBELLISHMENT. I traced the circle onto the card front and then adhered a wreath of leaves directly onto the card. Three leaves were wrapped around the gold hoop and secured using a mini glue dot. Each leaf had two dimensionals stacked onto the back – these were positioned before the backing was removed and secured. This was an effective way to raise the gold hoop.

The sentiment was stamped before I used the mini trimmer to create the tag. Again, double dimensionals were used.

The BRAIDED LINEN TRIM makes a gorgeous bow, especially when you pull on the sides and stretch and open up the braid.

I finished the card off with some GOLD GLITTER ENAMEL DOTS and CLEAR WINK OF STELLA.

The inside of the card and envelope had some interlocking leaves attached.

So, as we enjoy the warmer weather of Spring here in Australia, I thought that I would make a card celebrating the cooler months of the Northern Hemisphere as Autumn (Fall) brings cooler weather and the gorgeous changing colours of the leaves.

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.
