THURSDAY IS THE DAY FOR A 3D PROJECT

Today I have a flip top box to share with you.

I made it to hold a couple of flower seed packets that I could then give as a gift.

I used Shy Shamrock card to create the gift box.

The floral DSP design was perfect for this project. I carefully measured and cut the DSP panels so that the design wrapped around the box and aligned well.

I used one of the new punches, from the Hole Punch Assortment pack, to punch a slit for the Strawberry Slush Faux Linen Ribbon that I used to close the box.

After stamping the greeting I used one of the dies from the soon to be retired Something Fancy Dies. It was secured over the ribbon with Stamppin’ Dimensionals.

Finally I added some of the Strawberry Slush Flat Pearls to the front of the box.

Tomorrow I have a Fun Fold card to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.

WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS WEDNESDAY FROM STAMPIN’ UP!© & ME

This week there are three new kits and an updated Last Chance Updates List.

PAPER BOUQUET KIT $39 AUD (plus postage)

LOVELIEST WISHES KIT $25 (plus postage)

ESSENTIAL OCCASIONS KIT $23 (plus postage)

As I mentioned yesterday, I am featuring the Florals in Bloom Suite Collection this week.

Today’s project is a great card that features one of the stunning new Designer Series Paper pages.

I adhered the DSP panel on a Basic White panel and added it to a Secret Sea cardbase.

Then I added two strips of the Secret Sea card across the card front – one strip is 1/2″ and the other is 3/4″.

The greeting, from the Sweet Blooms stamp set, was stamped in Strawberry Slush and then cut. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to give it height.

The floral image was stamped using Petunia Pop, Secret Sea, and Summer Splash inks. The solid image was stamped off to make the colour lighter. The floral outline was stamped at full strength.

The die cut flowers were positioned on the card front using dimensionals.

The card insert and envelope were finished using the same DSP.

I added some Secret Sea Flat Pearls to the front of the card.

Tomorrow I have a 3D project to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.

TODAY IS TECHNIQUE TUESDAY & I HAVE A SIMPLE TECHNIQUE TO SHARE WITH YOU

Today’s card is all about the simple design rule of three.

The design “rule of three” suggests that grouping items in threes, or odd numbers generally, is more visually appealing, memorable, and effective than even-numbered groupings

The card I have made for today’s share has three floral elements, three branches, three sentiment panels and three embellishments.

This week I am featuring the Florals in Bloom Suite Collection and the new 2025-2027 In Colours.

I hope you like the card I have made to share with you.

The new Secret Sea In Colour is such a deep, rich colour and it works so well with the coordinating DSP.

The Sweet Blooms greeting was stamped twice in Secret Sea and once in Strawberry Slush.

The flower from the Pretty Florals Dies was cut three times – once in Strawberry Slush and two in Basic White. The two white flowers were coloured using a Blending Brush and the Strawberry Slush Classic Stamp Pad.

Three leafy stems were cut from Shy Shamrock card.

All of the elements were then added to the card front.

I have more to share about this card – but – you will need to wait until Friday.

The card insert and back of the envelope had one of the Strawberry Slush DSP designs added.

Tomorrow I have another project to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.
