Today I have a W-fold card to share with you. I have seen many of these cards over the past year but it is the first time I have tried this fun fold.
For the front of the card, I featured a square of Daffodil Delight paper from the Brights 6″x 6″ Designer Series Paper and a 1″ wide strip of Pumpkin Pie cardstock that was banner cut using the Pick a Banner Punch.
The greeting is from the Charming Sentiments Stamp Set. After stamping it, using Bermuda Bay ink, I cut it using one of the Designer Tags Dies.
I stamped and coloured several budgerigars before die cutting them. This was the one I chose for the card front. I also cut several feathers from the same DSP and adhered them to the card.
Looking at this image now, I need to go back and add some Daffodil Delight embellishments from the Glossy Dots Assortment just to give it a little bling.
When the card is opened out fully, the four sections that create the “W” fold are revealed. The cardstock and DSP squares are adhered onto the Pumpkin Pie strip.
When partially opened, you can see the “W” quite clearly. There is one area that has some Basic White cardstock ready for a personal message.
I used all of these Stampin’ Blends to colour the birds for the card. My favourite is the light blue budgie.
This is the last project using the Pretty Birds Bundle for this week.
From tomorrow, I will have a new product suite to feature for a week of projects.
Until then, happy stamping.
