FUN FOLD FRIDAY

I have a Spanner Panel card to share with you today. It’s the first time that I have made one of these.

This is the last project using the Awash in Beauty Suite for the moment. I will have another collection of new products from the 2022 – 2023 Annual Catalogue to showcase from Saturday.

The Spanner Panel card begins as a standard landscape card. Then I cut the front panel into 3 parts, with each side piece measuring 1-1/4″, leaving a 3-1/4″ centre panel.

These three panels were then decorated with Callpso Coral cardstock and Awash with Beauty Designer Series Paper.

Then a 1-1/2″ strip of Window Sheet was attached to the two side flaps.

The greeting was stamped on a strip of Calypso Coral cardstock and then positioned along the Window Sheet.

I took some of the DSP and die cut several flowers to decorate the fromt of the card.

When the first layer of the card is lifted, the centre panel remains in place.

When the centre panel is lifted, a place to write a message is revealed.

I like this card fold and plan to make many more!

Tomorrow I will have some new products to showcase for the week.

Until then, happy stamping.

TIME TO SHARE THIS WEEK’S GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT ENTRY

I enjoy participating in design challenges. This week the Global Design team have given us a colour challenge.

As I am featuring the Awash in Beauty Suite this week, I needed to stop and think how I could bring these colours and use them with these products. None of the challenge colours are used in the Designer Series Paper, so it was going to be stamping as the focus … and, some cardstock.

Here is the end result.

I used Adhesive Sheets on the back of the Starry Sky card stock to attach it to the card front.

The die, from the Organic Beauty Dies, was used three times to create a multitude of diamond shapes. I used them to fill some of white spaces. In places there were up to five diamonds layered on top of each other.

The flowers and stems were stamped in each colour and then die cut. They were then positioned on the card front and secured with Stampin’ Dimensionals and Multipurpose Glue.

I cit a length of Petal Pink Soft Polyester Ribbon in half and tied a small bow.

I gave the centres of the flowers a light brush of Clear Wink of Stella.

The envelope and inside of the card were both stamped in Sweet Sorbet.

I have another colour challenge to share with you later today and I have decided to use a very similar layout just to see which one I prefer.

Until then, happy stamping.

TIME FOR TECHNIQUE THIS TUESDAY

I have shared projects that I have made using masks before but today’s is a little different.

This time I used the lattice die from the Organic Beauty Dies as my mask/stencil. As you can see I taped down the die onto a piece of Basic White card and then used one of my Blending Brushes to blend Granny Apple Green across the card.

After I finished colouring the card stock, I removed the masking tape and trimmed it for the card front.

The flowers were stamped on Basic White card and White Vellum then heat embossed using white embossing powder. The flowers and leaves were then die cut and arranged on the front of the card.

The greeting was also hear embossed before being cut. The Banner Pick a Punch was ideal for finishing this element.

I added some Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels to give the card some bling.

I cut two lengths of white twine, from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack, and pulled them apart into single strands. Then I tied them into a bow before securing it with a Mini Glue Dot.

Now I need to go and look at the rest of my dies to see which ones I can use in the same way.

Tomorrow is Wednesday and time to share some challenge projects.

Until then, happy stamping.
