There are so many sources of inspiration when it comes to creating cards to give to someone special …

I’ve seen the Beautiful Branches Thinlits used in so many ways … and because I live on the coast close to the southern most part of the Great Barrier Reef, I was inspired to create a coral reef scene.

Armed with Night of Navy, Cajun Craze, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry and of course, Whisper White … this is the scene.

The layers help to give some depth … and I discovered the recessed thinlit technique thanks to Kylie Bertucci.

The Cajun Craze coral reminds of the beautiful waters off Capri!

The fish can be found in the new Seaside Shore stamp set and the sentiment is from the continuing Garden in Bloom stamp set …. both in the current annual catalogue.
