A GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT THEME CHALLENGE

Hello! Thanks for popping by today. I appreciate the time each of you take to visit my site.

My project is for this week’s Global Design Project Challenge – and, it’s a Theme challenge.

So, my question is – where does the sky end, to find ‘the limit’? I decided to go beyond Earth’s blue sky and reach for the stars, for this challenge.

My first decision was to use some of the Night of Navy Ombre Specialty Paper because I love the shimmer that it has. And, while it is ‘Night of Navy’ the ombre effect allows it to coordinate with Misty Moonlight. I adhered a full card front panel of the Ombre Speciality Paer to the Basic White cardbase.

My second decision was to use the Stellar Birthday Stamp Set and the so very cute rocket image. I stamped the image many times on a piece of Shimmery White cardstock with Versamark before heat embossing all the rockets with white embossing powder. Then I water-coloured the cardstock using Misty Moonlight. When dry, I cut three panels – 2 each at 1″ and 1 at 3/4″. These panels were then adhered to the card front, equally from the centre.

The greeting, from the Stellar Birthday Stamp Set, was stamped in Misty Moonlight and cut using this great die from the Bloom Dies set. Before attaching it to the front of the card, using Stampin’ Dimensionals, I added some Metallic Mesh Ribbon behind it. Several stars, from the Stitched Stars Dies, were cut and popped up onto the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I also stamped the rocket on the card insert and envelope.

I really love the way the Silver Metallic Mesh Ribbon works with the Night of Navy Ombre Specialty Paper. What do you think?

Who, in your world, is out of this world?

Happy stamping.
