FUN FOLD FRIDAY IS A DOUBLE CORNER FLIP CARD

It is loads of fun searching for different fun fold cards to make and share.

Today, I took a Corner Flip Card and decided to create a card that turned in this way on both sides of the card.

I started the scoring for this card directly in the middle across the top of the card. The left hand side measured 1-1/2″ down and the right hand side measured 2-1/2″ down. I turned the corners in and used my Bone Folder to burnish the folded edges sharply.

I carefully measured and cut the Designer Series Paper (card front) and Basic White cardstock (card insert) to match the shape of the card.

Some branch shapes were die cut and positioned behind the stamped and die cut banner. This was then added to the front of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The fern was stamped on the card insert and envelope. Then I added some Decorative Dots to the front of the card.

The last thing I did was to stamp and die cut two ferns. I added them to the card insert so that they sit flat when closed and then pop up when it’s opened.

That was fun!

Tomorrow we start a new week and a new product suite.

Until then, happy stamping.

A CUTE 3D PROJECT FOR A THANK YOU GIFT

Today I have a little gift box to share. I bought a small Geranium & Rosewood scented bath oil as a thank you gift.

The box measures 1-3/4″ x 1-3/4″x 3″ (excluding the front and back flaps).

The banner die was threaded over the front and back flaps so that I could cut these single scallop ends. I repeated this with a piece of the Designer Series Paper.

The main colours used are Starry Sky and Sweet Sorbet from the new 2022 2024 In Colours.

The branches were cut from a small piece of Sweet Sorbet cardstock and attached to the back flap.

The sentiment was stamped, cut and attached to the front flap. The Polished Dots were coloured with one of the Sweet Sorbet Stampin’ Blends.

Finally, a #tammybow was added to the front of the gift box.

I always enjoy the time I spend making 3D projects. Now I have another small thank you gift in my cupboard ready to give.

Tomorrow is Fun Fold Friday.

Until then, happy stamping.

WOW – IT’S WEDNESDAY AND TIME TO SHARE CHALLENGE PROJECTS

My first post for today is the card I made for this week’s Global Design Project challenge.

The challenge is to CASE the project below by using anything I like from the design and make it my own. It might be the stamp set – the colors, the layout, the theme, the images – whatever has inspired me to make a card of my own. I’ve decided to CASE the layout.

I have still used the Sun Prints Suite, my featured products of the week.

The card has a Basic White base and the front is covered with one of the paper designs from the Sun Prints 12″x 12″ Designer Series Paper.

Then I added a smaller panel of Basic White cardstock using Stampn’ Dimensionals.

I took a 3″ square of Starry Sky cardstock and used the Fern 3D Embossing Folder to add this gorgeous texture. This panel was also popped up using dimensionals.

I stamped and cut the leaves and flowers. The leaves were die cut and the flowers were then fussy cut.

The sentiment was stamped with Sweet Sorbet and was then die cut. The leaves, flowers and sentiment were then positoned over the embossed panel.

Using the Dark Starry Sky Stampin’ Blends pen I coloured three Polished Gems and added them to the front of the card.

Finally, I tied a length of Starry Sky Metallic Woven Ribbon into a #tammybow.

It is always great to take part in challenges because that is just what they do – they challenge me to try new colour combinations, layouts, products and think in other creative ways.

I have a couple more projects to share with you later today.

Until then, happy stamping.
