IT’S TIME FOR ANOTHER COLOUR INKSPIRATION CHALLENGE

This project will make my third challenge/blog hop this week. I’m on a roll.

I look forward to each Colour INKspiration challenge because they are so often colour combinations that I wouldn’t select myself.

May be an image of text that says '#109 COLOUR Crushed Curry SPIRATION CHALLENGES Pool Party Cinnamon Cider Early Espresso'

For this project I decided to use the Batik Boutique Bundle, which I haven’t used in a while. I also decided to try the baby wipe colouring technique for the first time.

I started by adding drops of ink refill to some folded baby wipes, then stamped the textile image from the Natural Textures Stamp Set several times (this is a host set from the current Annual Catalogue).

These were then cut using one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I cut two for each of the floral elements that I made.

To make the floral elements I added some Adhesive Sheets to the back of strips of the four INKspiration colours. I cut one Early Espresso and two Cinnamon Cider full floral shapes. Then I cut two of the detailed infill shapes in both Crushed Curry and Pool Party.

The stamped panels were adhered to the back of the full floral shapes. Then I used the outline shapes from the detailed cut pieces and positioned each of them over the base full shape. As you can see, there are two with the Pool Party outline and one with the Crushed Curry outline.

The next step was to alternate the colours and fill in the outline. As you can see, two of them have Crushed Curry inserts and one has the Pool Party.

A panel of Cinnamon Cider was embossed using the Bark 3D Embossing Folder before it was attached to the front of the Crushed Curry card base.

The next step was to carefully postion the three feature panels down the centre of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The greeting is from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set. It was trimmed down and attached with dimensionals.

The floral image from the Batik Boutique Stamp Set was stamped, in Early Espresso ink, on the card insert and envelope.

Adding some Cinnamon Cider Square Gems, from the 2020 – 2021 In Colour Square Gems, was the last step for this card.

It’s always good to go back and use some of the products that have been left alone for far too long.

Until next time, happy stamping.

#SIMPLESTAMPING

Hello my lovely crafting friends! I am delighted that each of you has returned to see my latest project. If this is the first time you have popped by, welcome – I hope you like what I have shared.

Today’s birthday card is definitely an example of #simplestamping – ink, stamp and paper. Although, I did cheat and add a little Baker’s Twine.

I used the Biggest Wish Stamp Set and the Natural Textures Stamp Set (an exclusive Host set). I used Soft Suede Classic Stampin’ Pad to stamp the textured background for this card front. Using my Stamparatus, I used the hinge stamping technique to repeat the ‘happy’ greeting down the left hand side of the card front.

I stamped ‘BIRTHDAY’ using the same ink and card stock, before trimming it down. After adding Stampin’ Seal behind the birthday greeting, I looped some twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack. Once the sentiment was prepared, Stampin’ Dimensionals were used to allow it to be lifted up from the card from for added height.

The Very Vanilla card insert and envelope were stamped, using the same textured image. This time only the top part of the stamp was used. I was surprised by how interesting this short fringed image looks. It makes me want to think of other ways to repeat this.

This #simplestamping card only requires a few supplies beyond the card stock. For this card – the stamps, ink and twine.

I think this would make a perfect masculine birthday card. What do you think? Who would you send this card to? I hope that you leave a comment sharing the answers to these questions.

Happy stamping.
