THE FINAL FOUR MONOCHROMATIC CARDS IN THE DSP SERIES

Here are the final four cards I made to feature each of the 12 designs from the Botanical Textures DEsigner Series Paper.

It has been an interesting creative challenge to use each of the 12 paper designs to make 12 different cards.

For this card I cut a Basic White panel using one of the dies from the Grow with Love Dies.

I cut the black stem with one of the Memorable Blooms Dies. There was Adhesive Sheet on the back of the Basic Black card making it so easy to attach the stem to the card.

The same greeting panel was used again and I added more of the black dots to the card front.

Finally, I tied a small bow using the white twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack. The bow was attached with a Mini Glue Dot.

For this card I hand tore a wedge from the DSP, exposing the white ‘centre’ of the paper.

After glueing the DSP onto the Basic Black panel, I coloured a length of white baker’s twine using the Dark Smoky Slate Blends Pen. The twine was wrapped around the panel and tied off.

I used the largest banner die, from the Stylish Shapes Dies, to cut the DSP into four horizontal banners.

After they were adhered to the Basic Black layer I wrapped a length of White Woven Ribbon around the panel and tied a bow. I popped a Mini Glue Dop under the bow to secure it.

The Grow with Love Die was used to cut the panel in the centre of the DSP.

I took a length of white twine and untwisted it to create single threads that were then looped around the back of the greeting panel.

I used the Neutrals Matte Dots again for this card.

All 12 cards had strips of the same DSP attached to the card insert and back of the envelope.

Tomorrow I have a 3D project to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.

TIME FOR SOME MORE MONOCHROMATIC CARDS

Today I am sharing four more cards using the Botanical Textures Designer Series Paper.

For this card I used the Dark Basic Black Blends Pen to colour a length of White Ribbon. I wrapped it around the DSP panel and then tied a secon, shorter coloured length of ribbon

All the cards, in this series, have the same rectangular greeting.

This card also has some of the Neutral Matte Dots.

For this card I folded back the top right corner and created a pocket for a greeting tag.

To make the tag I used one of the dies from the Grow with Love Dies.

For this card I used two circles, from the Stylish Shapes Dies, to cut the DSP panel.

The cut DSP pieces was lifted up using lots of Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I was able to pop the white dots in the black space between the circles.

This super simple card was made by adding a strip of the other side of the main DSP.

And, of course, the same greeting and Neutral Matte Dots.

As with yesterday’s cards, each of today’s cards have a strip of the main DSP adhered to the card insert and the back of the envelope.

Tomorrow, I have the last four DSP designs to share with you.

MONDAY & THIS WEEK’S MONOCHROMATIC CREATIVE JOURNEY BEGINS

I’m a bit late getting started today – domestic goddess duties prevailed. Now that these less creative endeavours are complete, let me share the projects I have made to share with you this week.

This week I am featuring the Botanical Textures Designer Series Paper.

Throughout the week, I will using a range of other new products with the DSP.

To start the week I have made 12 cards, each using one of the DSP designs. I will share 4 cards each day until 3D Thursday and Fun Fold Friday.

All of these 12 cards have a Gray Granite card base and a Basic Black panel. The next panel will be a layer of DSP.

For this card I used one of the large square die, form the Stylish Shapes Dies, and cut a large space from the DSP layer.

This layer had lots of Stampin’ Dimensionals added so that it would sit up off the card base and black layer.

The greeting, from the Mixed Labels Stamp Set, was stamped using Jet Black Memento ink onto Basic White card. Then it was cut using a smaller square die twice – the second cut creating a rectangle.

I popped the greeting up with Dimensionals.

A length of 1/2″ White Woven Ribbon was tied into a bow and secured with a Mini Glue Dot.

Finally, I added some black dots from the Neutral Matte Dots pack.

The card insert and back of the envelope had the same DSP added to integrate the design.

Flip the DSP and this is the design.

This is a simpler design.

The greeting is the same as the previous card and the only additions were a length of the same 1/2″ ribbon and one of the Neutrals Dots.

For this card I coloured a length of Basic White Twine black and then wrapped it around the DSP and black card layer, before tying a bow. I popped a Mini Glue Dot behind the bow to secure it.

The greeting and Neutrals dots were added as well.

The DSP for this card was cut using a smaller square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies.

The same greeting panel was used. A Gray Granite banner was cut and attached under the greeting. Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, I lifted the greeting up from the card front – I do love a little dimensio on my cards!

I added a single black Neutrals Matte Dot to the card front.

These are most of the products I used for these projects – unfortunatelt, I left the white and black twine from the image.

Tomorrow, I have four more cards to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.
