IT IS MONDAY & TIME TO SHARE A SCRAPBOOKING PAGE DESIGNED FOR A MEMORY

When I looked at the Abigail Rose 12″x 12″ Designer Series Paper, there was one design that I knew I wanted to use for a scrapbook layout. It is the sheet that looks like a vintage ledger page.

Here is the layout –

I strated by mounting this piece of DSP onto a 12″x 12″ Petal Pink cardstock to give the page reinforcement.

Then I cut a piece of Petal Pink cardstock to 6-1/2″x 4-1/2″ as a background layer for a photo. I partially stamped the large floral image on the base DSP layer and then calculated where to stamp the ‘rest’ of the image on to the Petal Pink cardstock. I used Early Espresso ink for these stamped images.

Three more large flowers were stamped, coloured with Stampin’ Blends and then die cut. As soon as they dried, they were bent and crumpled a little. Stampin’ Dimensionals were positioned on the back. Then I positioned them on the page, as you can see.

Finally, I used the totally amazing new Alphabest Bundle – Alphabest Stamp Set and coordinating Best Label Punch. It was so quick and easy to stamp and punch out the ‘congratulations’ for this page.

The vintage ledger appearance of this DSP designed page is fantastic.

I can see this layout being used for a graduation scrapbook page and I know that I have some wonderful photos of both our daughters at their respective Bachelor’s graduation ceremonies.

This was a wonderful page layout to create. I will need to make a second one so that each of our daughters have the same graduation memory.

Tomorrow is Technique Tuesday and tomorrow I will be colouring with bleach.

Until then, happy stamping.

MONDAY MEMORIES – IT’S TIME FOR A SCRAPBOOK LAYOUT

When I saw the He’s The Man Suite, I knew that I wanted to prepare a layout that I could add some photos of the time Rob used his new Weber the first time.

I used a 12″x 12″ sheet of Saraha Sand cardstock for the base of the layout.

The piece of He’s The Man DSP I chose was cut down to 8″x 8″ and adhered to the base – the journaling panel, stars, hooray, barbecue, hand, arrow and tab.

The 6-1/2″x 4-1/2″ photo mattes were added to page.

Then I selected a variety of the pop out elements that are included in the DSP bundle.

This was so quick and easy.

Tomorrow I have a Technique Tuesday project to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.

MEMORIES ON MONDAY

Each Monday, this year, I have been sharing a single or double scrapbooking layout. Some have photos while others don’t yet. Although I will usually have an idea of what photos would work well for the layout.

The 12″x 12″ piece of paper I selected, from the Sun Prints Designer Series Paper collection, is perfect for a scrapbooking layout.

The only thing I did to the background paper was to add some Brushed Brass Butterflies.

I cut two photo matboards using Gray Granite and Basic White cardstock. They suit 6″x 4″ and 5″x 3″ photos.

I stamped two of the leaf images from the Nature’s Prints Stamp Set on the photo mats.

I haven’t added a journaling box or title yet. I’m still working on them. I think the title will be Dandelion Wishes.

Tomorrow I have a technique based project to share with you. It uses the Stamparatus.

Until then, happy stamping.
