TECHNIQUE TUESDAY IS HERE AGAIN

This week I am giving the Joseph’s Coat technique a go. As I was collating different techniques for my Tuesday posts, I was at first surprised by the number and variations. Then I was surprised by the number of techniques I had used before.

I started by using Sponge Daubers to lay down a base of colours across a Basic White card base.

The next step was to stamp the large floral image, from the Lovely & Lasting Stamp Set, using Versamark. Then I sprinkled Clear Embossing Powder over the Versamark and heated the powder.

The final step for a Joseph’s Coat technique is to apply a darker ink to the card stock. After the Jet Black Memento ink was applied, I used paper towel to wipe away the excess ink from the heat embossed area.

I layered a piece of Lovely in Linen DSP and Pale Papaya cardstock on the front of the Soft Succulent card base.

Then I placed Stampin’ Dimensionals behind the “coat” layer and placed it on the front of the card.

The partial sentiment was stamped, cut down and added to the card.

Finally, I added some 2021 -2023 In Colour Opal Rounds to the card for that little bit of bling.

The card insert and envelope were both stamped using the scroll image from the stamp set.

Tomorrow I will have a new Global Design Project challenge card to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.

A WONDERFUL WEEKEND OF CARD MAKING

My weekend of card making was lots of fun. So much so – I didn’t get around to posting the cards I made.

So here are my Saturday #simplestamping and Sunday #stepitup projects.

This week I am featuring the Lovely in Linen Suite.

I start with some Basic White Notecards and Envelopes.

The first card is truly an example of simple stamping – one ink, a sentiment, a flower and the tiles image.

For this card, I simply stamped the tile image two more times.

This time I switched the centre Night of Navy image for Pale Papaya.

Time to step this series up a little.

I stamped and fussy cut some flowers to add to the front of the card.

The Night of Navy tiles were fussy cut and popped up on the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Finally, I added some Pale Papaya 2021 – 2023 In Colour Opal Rounds.

For a completely different look, I wanted to use the Lovely in Linen 12″x 12″ Designer Series Paper and coordinating Lasting Label Punch.

I used the Dots & Spots Die to cut the Pale Papaya cardstock. The diagonally striped piece of DSP was secured to the back of the die cut panel.

After stamping the floral image and cutting the label, using one of the new Designer Tags Dies, I ‘tied’ it in place with a length of Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon.

A few Soft Succulent 2021 – 2023 In Colour Opal Rounds finished the card.

It is Monday and it should really be Monday Memories. I will try to get a layout finished and posted later today.

Tomorrow is Technique Tuesday so I will another project to share with you tomorrow.

Until then, happy stamping.
