A NEW FUN FOLD CARD FOR YOU TODAY

Fun Fold Friday is everything the title says – Friday, Fun Fold card and heaps of Fun.

The card today is an ARROW Fun Fold card.

I used a half sheet of Bermuda Bay cardstock for the card base. After marking the centre of the card front, along the bottom of the front flap, I scored from that point up to the top outer corners. Then I scored from the same centre point to 1-1/2″ from the top outer corners. After burnishing these score lines I was able to create the arrow shape.

The Pattern Party 12″x 12″ Designer Series Paper was perfect for the panel sections of the card.

I stamped the kite tail directly onto the DSP. After I stamped, coloured and fussy cut the kite, it had Stampin’ Dimensionals attached so that the kite would look as it was floating. This was repeated with the clouds.

The sentiment was stamped, cut out and popped up with dimensionals.

Using the Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends pen, I coloured some Rhinestone Basic Jewels to add the centre of each of the bows.

I stamped a cloud on the card insert and envelope.

Tomorrow I will have a new stamp set collection to share with you for the week.

Until then. happy stamping.

A CUSTOM GIFT BOX FOR A FRECKLE MILK CHOCOLATE BUNNY

For today’s 3D Thursday project I made a custom gift box for a gorgeous freckle covered milk chocolate bunny. To be honest, the box it came in was very abergare.

The Easter Friends Stamp Set is the set I chose to use – it is another stand alone set.

The finished box measures 5-3/4″x 4-1/2″x 5/8″.

I used Flirty Flamingo cardstock for the box.

The front Basic White panel was stamped with the bunny and grass images. I used the Flirty Flamino and Basic Gray Water Colour Pencils to lightly shade areas of the bunny. A Blender Pen was used to lightly blend the colour.

The sentiment was stamped on the panel as well. A simple bow was tied from a length of Misty Moonlight Cotton Ribbon. This ribbon is from the New Horizons Suite.

Finally, I coloured some Rhinestone Basic Jewels with the Dark Melon Mambo Stampin’ Blend.

Isn’t the chocolate freckle bunny so cute.

I will make another gift box durin my Facebook Live so that I will have a second Easter bunny gift box – one for each of my daughters.

Tomorrow I have a fun fold card to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.

WELCOME TO WEDNESDAY & ANOTHER GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT

The stand alone stamp set (one without any coordinating dies or punch) I have chosen to use for this project is the Kite Delight Stamp Set.

The theme for this weeks #GDP336 is CASE THE DESIGNER. This week’s designer is Angela Meiritz-Reid.

To CASE a project I can take what I like from a design and make it my own. It could be the stamp set – the colors, the layout, the theme, the images – whatever I like that has inspired me to make a card of my own.

I decided to keep the layout and a limited range of colours.

I have gone with a white on white cardbase with one layer being embossed with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder.

Instead of leaves, I stamped cloud and a kite tail images in Memento Tuxedo Black and a partial sun in Daffodil Delight.

The kite was stamped and the flowers were then coloured using the Poppy Parade Stamin’ Write Marker. The bows of the kite tail were also coloured.

After fussy cutting the kite, I looped some of the Poppy Parade and Basic White twine from the Fan Baker’s Twine pack. The kite was popped using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The birthday sentiment was stamped using Versamark and was heat embossed using white embossing powder from the Basics Stampin’ Emboss Powders.

I stamped a cloud inside the card and on the envelope.

After I took this photo, I realised that I didn’t put the Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels – oops.

So, project 1 is finished for today. Another one will is scheduled for later today. It’s for the Freshly Brewed Project Blog Hop.

Until then, happy stamping.
